Dave the Polar Bear is literally a polar bear that is pretty much running on the concept of "monkey see, monkey do". He sees people engaging in economic transactions and makes assumptions.
On your serious note, by no means is he a furry as I understand it. He's a literal polar bear trying to fulfill his instinctive drives to get food to feed himself and a family. Of course, in lieu of actual polar bear parents, he got perfectly normal human Zoner "parents" trying to give him lessons on how to function like a normal person. How much of that actually stuck is an exercise I leave up to the reader and/or will reveal in due time, whichever is more convenient.
The text-to-speech device, like anything remotely resembling advanced technology, probably has an implanted AI that attempts to judge context or something. In any case, don't really expect deep meaningful dialogue from him beyond "I want food. Do you have food? I will pay money for food."
The ultimate real talk is that by no means is Dave a person, nor should he be considered one. Dave is a trained animal at most. However, he's the only viewpoint you're going to get, so the audience will start empathizing with what amounts to a guy trying to make a secure future for himself and his family... except that he's a polar bear, and there are no lady polar bears around.
I have no cartoon horses, it's a literal polar bear (and polar bears are actually pretty smart, no, really, look it up), and the narrative makes the audience, with their human preconceived notions, think of him as a person and not the barely domesticated animal, not devouring people though he may be, he actually is.
*whinnies*
In short, where in the rules does it say I have RP as a human, AI, or Nomad exclusively? All I see is "Everything not forbidden is allowed", with the list of definitely banned items being furries (which I understand as anthromorphic personifications, which Dave is definitely not), cartoon horses, which I am not even going to touch, and direct imports, so I cannot RP as Ebony Dark'Ness Dementia Raven Way.

Anyways, the story is funny written. It was, aside from the Douglas Adams-ish stuff in a universe that tries to be as transparent and logic as possible, fun to read it. ;3

I have no idea. I just heard of this site a grand total of three days ago, so I am probably appearing like some kind of idiot who has no idea what he's doing. While that isn't that far off the mark, I at least try to improve myself. Can you offer me pointers on how not to look like an idiot and be a better community member? Should I have lurked more? Should I have done countless other things? What am I doing that necessitates an appeal?
Also, please poke me on PMs so we don't clutter this up with what is obviously OoRP drama.
