I agree with that because I fly that route for some time now. Although I'm a trader like everyone else, I rp, therefore, when the pirate goes "pay or die", I go "I'll pay, I'll pay, there's no need for violence" because my character is afraid of death. I even remember the first time I got pirated I got killed because I didn't know how to trade or /givecash :D
My point is that many people don't do the same thing I do - losing to a pirate. When they do lose, they get really mad and just because their brain is hot they start to lawyer everyone around. When people pm me and say "Isn't [insert name] a ****", I say "Get some air". The more angry you get, the less controlled your actions will be. So to all you lawyers - "Get some air"

My advice is simple.

Know how to separate RP and RL, or even RP and the forums (that aren't RP). Don't get so involved in the character that it consumes you and makes you someone different, or makes you flame someone who is mainly of an enemy faction. Chill, it's just a game. If anyone caught it, I have a satire about this in Arthur Hawkin's story, a Bretonian actor who lost himself in the role of a Gaian.

RP = a game
RL = life

There may only be a difference of one letter, but be able to tell it, OK?

There is no such thing on a guide of roleplay.

You cant guide it. theres no way. Too many people have different ways of thinking about it, and of doing things. Thats why really, if something thinks you dont have is "good enough" RP for a ship, or whatever, you can basicaly tell them to bite you, Its your opinion of roleplay ( as long as its not uber short or uber novel long.)
