But in real life, why would you not give chase??? There may be less armed and armoured pilots this guy comes back to attack. Why on earth in real life would the police not run after them?

I am yet to hear the police say "oh looks, h'es running off, we've won that one!".

Should rp model real life or some weird arcade game style rule? Cosmos how do you win if he flys back and kills another trader? This is at best illogical and at worst you are culpable for any further deaths. It's like the police letting a murderer out who goes on and kills others.
