I am sure this message is not too much of a surprise since others tried before to work out a ceasefire for all troops on the front in this time of the year.
Never minding the result of former attempts I feel like I owe my men and women to give it another try.
Our troops are instructed to hold their position and not attack unless it becomes necessary. I am certain your soldiers will appreciate this opportunity just like ours.
If you wish to accept this offer just let your troops stay where they are, if not we are ready, even though I hope you grant your soldiers some rest and the chance to contact their family and friends.
