Hi there, I do apologize for the lack of response in your previous communication. As you may understand, things can get lost under the vast amounts of paperwork that needs to be done on a daily basis.
I'll get right to the point; Pittsburgh is a pretty barren planet that is mostly covered in desert. Most of our attempts at introducing plant life was quickly nullified by the vast amount of toxic by products emitted by our refining operations. I am no biologist, nor much of a gardener but I am well aware plant life requires carbon dioxide to thrive. Our attempts at reintegrating plant life on the planet was stemmed by the fact that the emissions generated were not carbon dioxide but in fact a break in a large subterranean deposit of natural gas.
Natural gas has a few key elements to it that directly affect the soil upon which the vegetation is growing from and as such, can be limited to a a key area without the risk of spreading outside the affected area and thus limiting any chain reaction and other negative side effects.
Bare with the thought though, we aren't biologists and this theory wasn't considered an opportunity for use until you brought up the need for vegetation control. We did some research on it and have determined that this would potentially be the break through you are looking for.
If this satisfies your interest, then I would recommend a formal conference between yourselves, Planetform Inc and us in establishing a research agreement to develop this more.

I am unhappy to report to you that Minerva Research is no longer there , the Outcasts managed to trick and engage the remaining forces far away from the planet , thus making the Station vulnerable. While planet-side defenders raise to fight them and Malachite using all the power it have , the station was downed , by a direct hit in the Core room... Instant implosion.
Please accept my apologies and once more will redirect the 53rd to Pittsburgh.
