Macs are very useful for Multi Media and Business. For Business Since their is very few viruses and such that can harm your data
But for gaming they are not worth it. Although the new 13" one has a 9400GS in it. You can run CoD4 on Macbooks and Macs without boot camp.

But they are expensive and that is one of the downsides.

This thread is relevant to my interests...

To Pliantreality: I use a MacBook... and love it. Just load up boot camp and get a copy of XP (no key necessary if you're willing to take the risk of getting a crack from a certain "Bay"). It actually runs XP way quicker and smoother than my old Dell did. Furthermore, it runs FL like a charm... The only very slight drawback is an almost unnoticeable graininess... but it's been more than worth it for me.
I only gave about a sixth of the HD space for the Windows partition.

Having used both macs and pcs.... I'm never, repeat NEVER buying a mac.

They look pretty = style over function

They don't crash as much = not true, one top of the line mac i was using for a publishing house (note, not DTP, but a full-on publishing company) once crashed 117 times in one day.

They don't get viruses = not true. They do, and they're a bugger to wipe.

I like the fact that i can open up my tower, stick a new part in and it works, giving me the chance to upgrade piece-meal, and delay forking out for a new system.

That said, if i could run mac software on a pc, that'd be sweet. No-one b*tches about the latest version of mac software like they do about 2000/xp/vista/whatever the next one will be called....
