loopholes in the ship loadouts. Thats why I stayed here. Good and fair community.
What I'm not too keen on is newcomers ... To the forums, not the game, coming in
and trying to change a well established and good working system.
Wolf has explained exactly how we like it ... And we do, make no mistake here.
Please, if you don't, you are free to try somewhere else you know.
I take it you were an admin elsewhere before here ... Or you are acting like one a
spoilt one. Pass the aspirin.
May i add that wolfpack said it was allowed so you have absolutely every right to your own opinion (and im sure many people agree with you) but you have absolutely no right to tell us to stop playing on the server. if you dont like newcomers tough, they are gonna come whether you like it or not. You were a noob once, so really, you hated yourself once. how sad
No matter how much you complain, you wont ever get your way.
It's been SUGGESTED that if you don't like the way things are being done on this server since before I got here that theres now plenty of other servers to choose from.
Newcomers are fine, it's being told that what we're doing is wrong or stupid by people who haven't been here very long that gets annoying.
No-one is complaining either, we're simply pointing out how things have been done on here for quite awhile now.
Wolfpack also didn't say it was allowed, he merely pointed that theres nothing in the rules stopping you from equipping your ships like that.
But like I've said before Just because you can, doesn't mean that you should.
So, stop complaining about people refusing to fight you, you made the choice to fit those weapons so live with it.
Ok, we've had this discussion before, and I'll repeat what the Admins, and most of the players know, and or agreed apon.
First is the matter of using large numbers of Tizy's On capital class ships. Now, most of you say that there isn't an effective Shield buster that can deal with the Hugo, or something of that nature.Well, to solve the first problem the hit area of the Hugo was increased, Next is that the fact that there are plenty of Capital grade shield busters, Mostly the Inferno Cannon, Now Something might happen to it, and get replaced, But right now its there, so why doesn't anyone use it.
Next the issue of battleships have to much power, well this is a titter-totter, we weaken the Battleship so that its " More Fair ", and suddenly you have light fighters solo killing battleships, which is completely impossible. We make them stronger than everyone complains that they can't kill one, in a 1v1 Pvp.
The fact of the matter is Battleships are, In stats, the strongest ships on the server, hands down. Now ive witness fighters trying to solo a battleship and lose. Well in reality thats 100% correct.
You want to kill a BS, get a group of people to gether to attack it, or better yet, Bring a BS of your own, thats what there meant to do, BS's fight other BS's.
As for how you equip your ship, no its not illeagal to put lots of Tizy's on a battleship. And, last time I checked, its not illeagal to have large numbers of MF turrets on a capital class ship.
But in most players view, bringing a ship covered in guns it was never meant to have is very unsportsmanly. If your in a Capital class ship, stick with capital class weapons, thats why they'er there.

@ Marauder: Dunno what planet you are from, but that is the same thing as saying they are allowed.
@ Angel, I agree with you completely, but as long as there are turrets made to equip on *fighters* that are better than those made for battleships (Which is COMPLETELY unrealistic. I will use them. It's that simple.
The inferno is meant to be hard to hit small targets. Its strictly an anti-capship weapon. Use it on cruisers, frigates, and battleships. Not gunboats or fighters.

Wolfpack has said this before because it is currently far too hard to police this sort of thing. The honourable players among us (which you may notice is practically all of us here on the forum) have vowed to stick to the gentlemen's rules of conduct and keep Discovery balanced.
One thing you'll find on Discovery that you may not find on a lot of other servers is the community spirit, where good roleplay and piloting skill is always held in higher esteem than having the "best" ship. We all help each other out and if something doesn't work, we don't do it. If all you're concerned about is having the most uber setup on the most powerful ship, you'll find the community reacts like this.
