I nearly died of -cold- waiting an entire hour with a fellow comrade of arm for our damned lift ><
We made a small trench in the snow to take cover - but within 10 minutes, nearly got -burried- under the snow!!

yeah I slept outside in a blizzard once, it wasnt as bad as your situation it looks like...not too much snow, but it was -10F, -30f with wind.
