could you add the words "no pirating in a frigate" too

plz because i was thinking of doing that but it would just be using a loophole in the system again :D (and a frigate is more powerful than a cruiser(im sure u all know))

all the other suggestions from dark i agree with (including the point on which he says that the current ID's are kinda vague)

I thought Igiss already said that you should *NOT* be pirating in anything bigger than a fighter or something along those lines..

Whatever Igiss says, consider it the rule of god <G>

His word is just as good as the Server Rules :)

The actual wording at the minute is:-

'Cruisers (not allowed) and Battleships (not allowed)'

As frigates aren't mentioned people could claim they're allowed to use them.

hmm... BattleStar-pirate hein?! xD

Concering the "terrorist" factions, I just give Xenos as an extreme example.

See for example, Bundschuh, Unioners, Blood Dragons, Hogosha, Golden Crisantemums, Farmers Alliance, they are all terrorists, each one with their own beliefs.

There are plenty of choices so far so I believe the Freelancer ID should be what it is right now.
I also say that because a Freelancer is a starting path to the inumerous ways out there.

I definitely agree that Neutral ID traders should not have immunity to pirate factions or factions that control systems where they pass by.

This could be discussed a bit so they can be asked to drop their cargo holds in special circumstances (such as passing through minor with Artifacts) but not to be shot at on sight, no matter what kind of rep they have - they are neutral after all.

Talking about pirating, I am against anything bigger than a VHF.

Trade companies use fighter or heavy fighter escorts.
It's unrealistic to have military vessels escorting a company convoy.

Traders can have agreements with another factions or "wing factions" though.

That would widen the role play and keep it simple.

For example, [IND] could have something like [IND][Merc] with that kind of powers, but this isn't important. They can have whatever they like - its private after all - as long as they dont actually trade on battleships...

Now, if someone has a Republican Shipping ID, or IMG ID for instance, they should not be allowed to have escorts higher than a VHF.

Good points Behemoth ... Neutral is a bit of a cop out to the RP. The rules also do state
that BSs do not pirate.
[IND] also do have protection, flying in the form of escorts ... They normally carry the
Esc. tag, along with name. Though a Zoner or Hacker BS, technically isn't military either.
So pay your money and take your chances when attacking us. You could get a little more
than you bargained for ... Though not all the time ... Heh
