My apologies for the abruptness of this transmission after several weeks of silence. Now, I'm not sure just how much the SIS knows about the Forlorn Hope, and I'm sure you would prefer to not reveal how little you actually know about us, so I'll skip to the part where we pretend we're not watching each other equally closely.
My boys down in the research labs have been playing with some interesting toys recently, and after some testing, we've decided that its time for a trial run of releasing them to outside interests. I'm not going to delve into details before I know if this is a venture you're interested in, so I'll leave it to you to decide if you want to follow this line of thought further.
Oh, and of course, should you decide to not partake, this message never existed.
Nick
Always good to hear from you and the Forlorn. I trust you and your fellows have been keeping out of trouble, as much as possible that is.
In regards to these 'interesting toys' (something that could have been worded far better if I'm honest with you) you have my attention. What is it that you want?

Keeping ourselves out of trouble would stop the income of course, but I get your meaning. On a business front its been largely stable and things are mostly quiet for now. I will have need of a favor when it comes to a future operation inside of Gallic space, but thats a discussion for another time.
In reference to the new toys. Its more like one toy and its better described as cutting edge technology. Without going into too much detail about it, I'm talking about the Vergil Project. Nanomachines that are used to create a Network between the mind and certain compatible technologies, allowing for a far more efficient means of making use of such items. We've already experimented with the standard PAD's and linked Neural Net access points, but those, while impressive, are nothing compared to the latest developments we've had. In this case, the creation of a Vergil Network between a pilot and their ship.
I'm certain you can already see the possibilities. Instant feedback and complete awareness in all matters concerning the linked ship. Precise knowledge of the entire ship at all times, at a mere thought. It's prototype technology at its current stage, but conducted testing has proven to have results of at the very least an efficiency increase of between 3-4% and a current upper limit of 12-14%. This isn't going to be the step that turns all your pilots into hyper-reactive aces, but its a step down that path.
Now, I know a lot of what I'm saying might seem impossible, and naturally I'm not going to reveal the means through which we achieved this, but if you are willing, we can arrange a demonstration for you at a secure facility.

P.S. I'll assume you got my invitation for the social event on Saturday. It's looking to be quite a fun day. I do hope we'll see you there.
Nick
Name a time and a place and either I or one of my agents will be there to observe this demonstration. Understand however that, contrary to popular thought, I actually do care about the men and women under my command, as such I will be bringing a few medical personnel along with me. Flight reflexes are all very well and good but if it destroy's the mind in the proccess then it's next to worthless.
I did indeed get your invitation, please reserve a place at the table for me, I don't want to miss this.

Popular thought is not included in the equation. Personally I was one of the first to receive the new augmentations. They have been extensively tested and hard-locked to prevent mishaps of the type you mention. I'd prefer if you were to personally view the demonstration, but a highly trusted agent is acceptable. Of course, as I'm sure you are aware, we are not adverse to preventing information leaks in spectacularly violent ways.
Thursday, Coronado. We'll walk you through the lab, so that the scientists can run through all the benefits and limitations of the Vergil Networks, and then we'll see what kind of trouble we can stir up for a field run.

P.S. About the social event, we're going to have to postpone that for a couple of weeks. Seems that one of the guests has taken ill or such, and it wouldn't be the same without her.
