And while we understand that Operation Anvil was done first, at no point was Ageira contacted by Hellfire to organise something more interesting than just a string of stories' posts. Even when Ageira went ingame to conduct the investigation mission, participants encountered a Hellfire ship as Scientific Report by Oleg Nikolayevich Petrov on Hudson Gate describes, nothing was mentioned by the Lord Commander Locklear ( @Durandal ). No opportunity to make interesting roleplay, involving more than single faction, was seized.
As @Durandal said, "Make love, not forum drama.", so we invite you to abide by your words in transparent in respectful way that contributes the community, not a single faction and hurting the other(s). Ageira's goal is to conduct roleplay reaching beyond Ageira. Help us achieve that.
EDIT: Now that you have been linked this message, we are waiting for your response.

If an alternative for it's disappearance other than "The [HF] took it" would be preferable, I'm sure that could be arranged as well.
Edit: OP Updated to reflect this.
LSF smear campaign against Hellfire to paint them as scavengers and opportunist.
As for an alternative explanation, the Cult of Technology stole vital components from the gate, that prevented it's reactivation, and prevented (somehow? Radiation?) Ageira from just simply replacing what was gone.

I rather like this idea, combined with Ageira having salvaged the gate to repair the Hudson-Hamburg one. It seems to impact the existing lore the least while addressing the core issue at hand, but @SnakThree and @"John Wildkins" should probably weigh in on that.

As a member of the RFP| HC, I don´t see any negative impacts on our faction. Especially if the reason why the gate disappeared will just change to originally planned reuse by Ageira. As far as I know, majority if not all Rheinland factions hesitated to officialy acknowledge the "great gate robbery" as valid or directly ignored it, and didn´t use it in any roleplay.

I don´t see it necessary. I think it was good move to bottleneck traders and send them only through Hudson, it supports piracy at least little. Also Bering as "pirate haven" idea may be interesting, but returning the gate from Rheinland side would make it even harder to work.
To be frank it would be just sufficient to roll with the idea of Ageira salvaging it for parts to use up when they repaired the Hudson gate, doing it secretly while LSF puts the blame on HF would just add some flavor to it.
On the other hand, putting the gate back, just disabled, and pretending it has always been there like that ever since the end of the Lib-Rhein war would kinda achieve the same results (Hudson being a bottleneck while Bering remaining a lawless pirate haven).
