Ok, I went through the thing and... well, don't take it the wrong way (I don't mean to be this guy), but you seem to have troubble with the lore. My question is, why don't you just join DSE? Theory aside, In practice your goals kinda' interject and the already official DSE would make it easier for you to get used to the lore around it. Then you have grounds to actually RP the secession from DSE and go independant. You state it yourselves that you aim for awesome RP - if you play your cards right, that particular one might be epic.
Also, what about the shares Doe Industries and Interspace Commerce have in DSE? I believe a secession would not be that easy with the general managers of each having something to say, which they logically would, right?

Thnk you for the imput Docent. Some very good piont there. But we have a histoy with DSE and we wouldnt join them, infact we are doing somthing diffent.
