The Story team is aware of the uncertainty regarding the Satsuma plans, and should hopefully have a decision shortly.

However I must state that the Satsuma was designed to ferry the Emperor himself, the most important person within Kusari. It is an iconic symbol of the Kusari nation and its Emperor as much as it is an impressive battleship. To duplicate such a vessel would no doubt earn the fury of its creators and cause severe political backlash to any colony that allows its presence.

I would personally recommend altering your event to remove gaining said plans, perhaps contact the Kusari Gov directly instead if you wish to use the Satsuma or request a less iconic ship.

AFC confirms we did talk and previously agreed that the blueprints would be in Heaven's Gate. We got Dev confirmation of the possibility too via secondary skype sorce since reaching a dev is impossible now-a-days.
It's a shame that the Aoi are pulling their own cards saying from out of the blue the blueprints are not there. It speaks highly of their faction when we try to include them in an event where they loose nothing and gain activity and they deny RPing in an RP server by refusing to believe more RP cant come out of this. That's a real shame. I still have not heard from anyone to give examples of how we can give a more rewarding experience to the nomads/wilde side, but alas, I guess they would rather say the whole event is AFC driven than to help us suggest things constructive for the event.

Why do we need a Dev quote? We're the base owners here. Unless a Dev says otherwise, the facts right now say that the Satsuma blueprint is not on the Arch.

Unless you can provide a quote to conflict what I've posted, I stand by my statement that Antonio would never have agreed to something like this. His opinion reflects that of the factions.

Considering your constant rebuttal of everything I'm saying, it doesn't really seem like you care what we think at all. Crocodile tears.

The fact that you format your posts to rebuttal people literally pulls the rug from under your feet.

Your statement only solidifies my point that you don't really care what Aoi think.

With Fran's and Croft's statements, I don't need to post here anymore. I tried to be constructive and help where possible at least.

Alright, listen. Take in consideration Croft's words and if you won't, just make sure that what you will do will be acceptable for others too. It would anyway bring some activity on the server and I'm more for that since I returned recently. Make fun but for everyone.

I have read through the OP and all the feedback and criticism, but i fail to see the exact point of this event, as it smells of powergaming intentions.

We also know that there is a discussion in 1iC leader chat that the AFC do not have access to. It is them discussing with themselves and us not being invited.

Don't get me wrong here, but saying a line like "We do not need to hold their hand in order to do so." and still force the event on the community, only benefiting your side? Wouldn't it be wiser to get every faction leader involved first, have their agreement on the event and then plan the event, as such arguments would never rise, if you could include a line, that the event is supported and backed by official factions involved?

Imho, your planning is great and all, but in order to join the event myself, as a member of a nomad faction, i'd like to ask these questions.

What could Nomads/Wild benefit from the event?

Are you aware, that indie "Nomad ID" players don't have Tohuku in their ZoI ?

Why would you restrict undocking from the Arch itself, if it harbors the very resistance and defense fleet, it would realistically provide?

As a K'Hara member, this event feels like what Vex describes.
Maybe there should be some planning instead before going on with your event?
Either way, I am trying to be fair.

I'm going to put aside the statement Nom made prior for reasons that I will not get into here, because I have respect for the AFC as a whole, and I can see that it has more potential than just as some recreational event machine - but I see this event, after looking at both sides of the table, and can't really see that there's much point in this in terms of obtaining the plans for the Satsuma, as it'd, like Croft said, raise the (possibly) intense (but almost certain) ire of the Kusari government, which would only cause more issues for your Kepler chapter.

if you want to go down that route (given the Devs say the Satsuma is there, which is up in the air at this point), It's all fine and dandy, but what Vex said also still stands. My main concerns are that what do Nommies get out of this other than PvP and some RP and why would you not allow enemy forces to deploy from the Arch to defend it, since, like he said, it's the home of the defense forces at the station, unless for some reason Aoi are given some kind of PoB to deploy from elsewhere, which in either case would be favorable, lest nommies be blasted to bits on undock.

So ive been reading this event and the actual objective is basically "i want shiny ship"
Going through all the blah blah and REALLY ANNOYING 3RD PERSON REPLIES of the AFC the conclusion is.....
The AFC want a new party bus...

Thats it.

To quote:
Quote:The motive for AFC to be interested in the Satsuma is the expansion of the AFC party-ship fleet into a city-scaled operation. The largest yacht in existence and legendary would attract a lot of potential customers. What better place to house our Exotic Entertainers

So..you wish to attack/lay siege to one of the most heavily fortified bases in the history of Sirius, filled with Infected and Squids in order to obtain the blue prints that may or may not be there, JUST so you can have an extravagant party ship.....

In what freaking world would:
A: This even be a viable option, the Money and resources plus loss of life going into such an operation would be insane.
B: Order or BD want to help a group of smuggling hooker peddling bounty hunter racers to attack what is essentially a death trap. For the sake of AFC to get a new floating whore house.
C: This be a natural jump for a faction? How do you get the idea that as a group "expanding its Night clubs" the best course of action is to try and get a hold of the plans of a Legendary status ship that was built to be the Jewel of a political figures eyes. Thats not a jump thats a freaking Leap off a cliff.

This whole entire thing is a nonsense, you just want to get a pretty unique liner that noone else has by trying to use very loose rp reasons with a what you thought was a well thought out structure for an event.

This is a pointless event, noone but the AFC has a chance to gain from it. IF it was a Nomad enemy of note, like the Order or the Core or the Kusari military then maybe this would make sense. But as i stated this is all for a new "AFC Party bus" a waste of time basiclaly

I won't pretend I've read all the comments because I've thoroughly visited this thread last night only, bit tired at the time, and in general having better things to do, so I'll just reflect on certain points of the OP and dialogue in that regard.

You've collected information supporting the idea that Satsuma blueprints are on the Arch based on Discovery Wiki articles, implying those articles are openly accessible knowledge inRP. If we accept the implication then this information supports the logic behind Sunny's thoughts quite well, and his well educated guess justifies his decision to take on the Arch, but in reality does not support the notion that he'll 100% succeed at finding the blueprints there, as it does not take into account whatever changes Aoi have done to whatever was left on the base after they took it over from Kusari authorities plenty of inRP years ago. In that regard all of us kind of have to rely on owner faction and dev stance. This also makes responses, like the following, slightly inaccurate:
(12-05-2017, 09:51 PM)The Archangels Fighter Club Wrote: We have explained how with reason the blueprints need to exist.

Another thing is that Sunny decided to rely on Order and BD because of their successful raid(s) on the station in the past, but that also is not a guarantee that Aoi have left everything internal unchanged, quite the opposite as they very likely restored, upgraded, fortified internal defenses ever since their last defeat against Order and BD. Reliance on these two factions is more or less justified, but on an ooRP level success is not at all guaranteed, not even for a boarding party to reach any data cores for the blueprints, and that also has to be kept in mind.

Lastly, I hope this little oversight in your OP doesn't ruin your plans too much.
