Dear Elders, I send this message today to try and head off a diplomatic impasse between the Corsairs and their allies in Kusari. For some time now, we have had a gentleman's agreement of sorts concerning the movement of Corsair ships in Kusari, that arrangement being that Corsair ships should feel free to pass through Kusari to get to their enemies, but should at all cost avoid causing trouble while in Kusari. The problem being that more and more these Corsairs have decided to try and pilfer my pie on the way through. I would ask the council to remind the pilots of the Corsair nation, that we in Kusari are the closest thing you have to a friend in the houses, and the Hogosha and Farmer's Alliance play a large role in the Artifact trade as well as fighting against our common enemy that is the hated Bretonians. While I understand the Independence of the Corsair nation, I am sure that your pilots would not be happy to see FA or Hogosha ships pirating in the Omicrons or Omegas, taking from Corsair the booty that aught be rightfully theirs, and in just the same way, when Corsairs come and pirate in Kusari, they are taking booty that rightfully belongs to the FA and Hogosha. I would hope that our past relations have proven to be beneficial to the Corsairs, and would hope that there is a desire to maintain this relationship. I formally ask the Council of Elders to order all Corsair ships passing through Kusari to hold their fire unless fired upon, and to cause as little a disturbance as possible in traversing Kusari. This is in fact the second time I have had to make this request and I would hope that the response this time would be a bit different, hopefully your Laowia has become more reasonable with his position on the Council.
