In the aftermath of the colonization of Yuma and with the production lines of Pecos working at maximum capacity, the Republic was once more looking towards re-taking Tau 44.
A devious plan was created which the Crayter Republic to approve it. And so, preparations begun.
In 822 A.S. the Sabah shipyards received orders to build two Zephyrs at the utmost secrecy and a new battlegroup to be created, the Hyperion.
It took the Republic a few months in which they build it and everyone feared for their lives,but with the return of the Vanguard fleet and the Sevastopol Division, the Republic felt safe enough to continue with their plans. Reorganizing the Fleet, they assigned a pair of Thanatos and a substantial numbers of Hydras with a full complement of Fighters.
Towards the end of the year, new orders arrived from the Admiralty along with a full complement of marines and a few supply ships. The Battlegroup was dispatched to Tau sector, to keep it out of sight until the time of the offensive. They were informed that also one more Battlegroup was to be in the area and they can also rely on Hades if there was any problem. The civilian ships where assigned to keep the battlegroup supplied with what they needed until the said time.
823 A.S. Orders came from the Admiralty to begin harrasing the Gallic lines and to cause as much havoc as possible along with other designed units.
Nyx and Pytho squadrons were released from the Black hand and Hydra's were getting into action. Their target systems: Tau 23 and Orkney.
Weeks passed and the The Black hand's were doing their job, maintaining radio silence and striking at convoys and lone groups and then quickly retreating to the safety provided by the Battlegroup, and their willpower was going strong as they heard the news of Crayterian gains in the system.
A few months later, the Black hand was sent to Tau 31 alongside the Battlegroup Atlantis and CIS Zeus squadron. Mission was to destroy all reinforcements that may come from Leeds and in 14 days to retreat back to Tau 23.
Towards the end of the campaign, the Atlantis was sent to Tau 44 to finish the job and the Achilles was ordered to guard the Tau 44 jumphole in Tau 23 system.
The campaign was a success and the Admiralty ordered the Black hand group some well deserved R&R.
Present day
The Gallic are still a threat even with the Crayterian fleet harassing the supply lines, the Gauls represent a threat to Bretonia and the Republic and the Black hand was ordered back into action,their orders to disrupt the supply lines and destroy any Gallic reinforcement in the Tau sector and to stop any attempt of gaining a foothold in the New London System.
Alongside the battlegroup,the same number of civilian ships were assigned to provide supply and credits for the maintenance, which gave the Battlegroup their autonomous power and ability to stay away from the Crayterians space.
The Black hand Group is acting under orders from President of the Crayter Republic and Fleet Admiral, being one of the few semi-independent entities in the Republic.

Ranks
Warrant Officer - (WO.) - The most recent inducted member of the Crayter Military - They are confined to a restricted zone of operations, unless ordered by a higher ranking officer. Warrant Officers are also authorized to provide security. They will then undergo evaluation to see if they can become a Lieutenant. Approved Ship Access: Eros Light Fighter and Nyx Very Heavy Fighter.
Lieutenant - (Lt.) - Lieutenants are the back bone of squadrons within the Crayter Military. Being confined into certain zone of operations and particular squadrons. They have proven their self with graduating Warrant Officer Training and Evaluation. They are authorized to prove security escort for civilians within Crayterian space. Approved Ship Access: Eros Light Fighter, Nyx Very Heavy Fighter, Pytho Bomber.
Lieutenant Commander - (LtCmdr.) - Pilots who are ranked Lieutenant Commander have shown to be talented within fighter and bomber crafts. They have proven there self during combat with tactical movements, leadership and they show their true traits within combat and patrols. Their main role is to provide support and assistance to the squadron leader. Once pilots have reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander they may also wish to recieve fleet operation training, this will give them a Executive Officer position and become a second in command of a Hydra-Class Gunboat. They will be under supervision of a Captain and will be put through their paces to see if they are fit to eventually lead and Captain their very own Hydra-class Gunboat. Approved Ship Access: Eros Light Fighter, Nyx Very Heavy Fighter, Pytho Bomber, Waran Heavy Bomber, and can request Hydra-Class Gunboat training.
Captain - (Cpt.) - Captain's are often very talented in leadership and combat. They have previously proven to be capable flying one of the many snub-crafts that the Crayter Military have access to. These officers are often in command of small squadrons that go into battle in major war zones such as Tau 44, Leeds and Magellan. After recently completing the very difficult training of the Hydra-Class Gunboat. With this rank they are granted and authorized to become a Captain of their very own Hydra-Class Gunboat. Approved Ship Access: Eros Light Fighter, Nyx Very Heavy Fighter, Pytho Bomber, Waran Heavy Bomber, Hydra-Class Gunboat.
Commander - (Cmdr.) - A Commander is the highest rank within the The Black hand's Security. This is because assests are needed for war and not so much as escort duty. A Commander has shown and proven they have the capabilities to lead Fleet operations, Security as well they have shown real talent in fighter and bombers. They also have gone through the ranks to reach this rank going through many different expierences and training. A Commander has the abilitiy to request training to eventually become a Commodore of a Thanatos-Class Cruiser. Approved Ship Access: Eros Light Fighter, Nyx Very heavy Fighter, Pytho Bomber, Waran Heavy Bomber, Hydra-Class Gunboat and can request Thanatos-Class Cruiser Training.

Minato Harbour was built by the Crayter Republic as a logistics hub to facilitate a future colonization of Planet Borneo. Years ago, it served as the primary port for shuttles to the surface, housed government institutions, and sheltered a large part of the Crayter population.
