My dear Nika,

as I am recording this a multitude of feelings overcome me. Truth be told, they fill my head and make it hard for me to find the right words to begin this message. So please go easy on me when all I can start with is: Long time no see.

How have you been? I imagine the answer to this question will be less reassuring for me than I would like, considering the destiny you have chosen for yourself. But I suppose it is still much, much better than hearing of your demise, which for the longest time people thought to have been the sad reality. Me being one of those people, I have to admit.

So witnessing you, the shining light of the Volksrevolution, returning to the stage to pick up the torch once more, continuing the strife towards your goal with the same unbreakable determination and vigilance that has been in you for all your life has not left me in surprise – but it most assuredly filled me with relief.

I doubt in all these years you have wasted a single thought on me, but following your departure I have been trying to follow your struggle, and your success. So when I heard of your sudden disappearance and rumours about your demise I was shattered, frankly. Life had already hit me hard at that time, but when these news reached me I thought it was all over. So close, yet so far away.
I am glad to see I was wrong.

However, I don't wish to flood your inbox with my rants, and I am not even sure you believe who I am and grant me this patience to begin with, so please, let me get to the point.
I would like to meet with you, for old times' sake. And, perhaps, to discuss other matters. For the fight I thought was lost still continues. If that is the case, I must partake in it for as long as I can still stand.

I am not certain what to say, honestly. These seem to be days littered with old friends reappearing. A year of the undead, apparently.
No, that's not to say I don't feel good about hearing your voice again, it's more that... During all that time I was with the Bundschuh you didn't think about telling me that you made it from Hamburg in one piece?
Whatever the response to this... this isn't the right place for that kind of talk. I have to be brief in here - can't expose my location. You said you wanted to meet me - I'll give you coordinates in the attachment.
