The Zoner Militia is a small group of NCO's and officers from various civilian Zoner vessels and private organizations that are now hosted aboard the Carrier Tarrafal in the Bering System. Several small groups have been drawn into the system by the deployment of the Tarrafal, and have joined up to their impromptu battlegroup to organize for the purposes of securing Freeport 2 from the pirates and other unlawful groups operating there now.
When a crisis hits the Zoners, repeatedly they take heavy losses, due a lack of organization and communication from so many varying independent parties. With this recent crisis in Bering over the loss of control of a long time Zoner home, it underscores the need to assemble a volunteer Zoner para-military organization to provide a 'quick reaction force' for Zoner populations in distress. This crisis is now provoking private Zoners to work together to deploy their ships for maximum effect.
Therefore a Militia is being called up, a chain of command assembled, and any able bodied Zoner men and women are invited to sign up. Any Zoner flying civilian and Zoner vessels of any class are welcome to join us, especially those capable of navigating the Bering system. There are no contractual obligations for membership. Ships are free to come and go as their captains see fit. The main goal will be to assemble and organize to support the Tarrafal in its operations to secure Freeport 2. The Miltia will also serve as a long term network of allied pilots and ship captains capable to rallying to respond to any crisis the Zoners may have thrust upon them. How the crisis in Bering is resolved will determine the future of its organization.
The Zoner Militia is being commanded in-cognito (for now) by private Zoner capital ship captains and comprised of their crews. There is some private funding, and they will be looking to raise funds for their cause as they establish deplomacy. They will be working to recruit in the field and take in any unafilliated Zoners looking to assist.

At this point I hope people realize this is being done for fun. Different ideas are being tried. We do not anticipate this ID to last forever regardless of how it ends for FP2.
Pre-existing Zoner characters can sign up privately to remain unidentified if they wish (can use temp 'codenames' in game). Otherwise, this intends to be a good group to make up a new character for. If, somehow, things change in Bering quickly, the idea will be carried over to the standard Zoner ID, and become a transirius 'QRF" (quick reaction force) for all zoner factions and individuals to call upon for additional support when needed. For now, the crisis that sparks this assembly and warrants its attention most is that of Freeport 2's fate.
Graphics and photos will be upgraded as time goes on. Fonts have been adjusted to make it easier on the eyes. Trying to keep it relatively simple, and provide an outlet for those wanting to get involved and see some organization around it.
@Battlegroup Tarrafal whoever winds up involved in this group, our RP will hinge on yours, you take the lead, we'll just be there in addition for either RP weight, or pews if/when they may be appropriate. Same goes for the Unioners! and that's if anyone is brave enough to join in! (laughs, wind blows, tumbleweed rolls by)
