"Ready to send the message, Hamilton?" asked Myers gruffly. A quick nod and questioning glance from Fred answered him the affirmative.

"Great. Start recording. We're gonna make this video and audio."

Fred sits behind a small terminal in a corner of the office and activates a camera trained on the Chief. Karl and Fredro look on in a speculative manner.

"Hello. I'm sure you lot are wondering why I'm sending this transmission, and while I don't like this any more than you do I'm sure, I feel it's in our best interest to... work together." Open shock cover the faces of the other three men. Myers continued.

"We all know you didn't bomb Fort Bush -- ain't yer style. We all know that at the same time Fort Bush was bombed, there was a smaller explosion on the LSF's prison station Fairbanks. We all know how the LSF are with their secrets, especially Alaska... so I have a proposal for you. I have a man here that is going to dress up as an Order pilot with false ID and everything, and we're gonna call the LSF and tell them we captured him.

"They are going to pick him up and take him to Fairbanks. What we need from you is help coordinating how he's going to get out of his cell and hack their system. Also, we need to get him off the station and to safety. I'm not going to lie, beyond Zone 21 we are blind. We don't know if there are any bases farther out, but if you could extract him and get him to safety somewhere else, that would be great. As long as we get him back.

"I'm sure you're asking yourselves 'what's in it for us?' Well, I'll tell you what. Everything about what's going on -- especially the alleged Order pilot that was killed on Fairbanks -- will be freely shared once we have the information. I'm a pragmatist. I hope you'll see things the way I'm seeing them, and help us help you."

At a wave of Myers' hand, the communication was cut. He sat back in his chair as all three men in the room stared at him.

"Now," he said slowly, "we wait."
