Well, you gotta consider the Core's majority influence in Delta, the Zoner peace accords and various contracts signed with the Zoner factions in the aftermath of the Core-Zoner conflict (and the Order/Corsairs angst at that), as well as all the effort that's gone into building civilian, corporate and military infrastructure in the area. The worth of the 'freeness' and neutrality of Freeport 11 probably doesn't measure up to the level of protection you'd get from the alternatives. Or business potential for that matter - Nauru offers a much safer alternative for Iridium mining versus the field in Lost.

Really, if you wanted to strike the civilian population you'd want to hit Core bases or Ennibeck. I suppose when you think about it in terms of roleplay, it's kind of a wonder Freeport 11 hasn't been abandoned or it's population isn't rapidly declining (if it isn't already).

Well, I'd up to call it for the Zoner lore that the profit FP11 gains is just too huge to abandon the station, but....whatever. Let's play dat shizzle.

Are they huge though? Lost has a very high Nomad presence (and actually the Moros infocard has/had something about factions setting up ventures on the planet itself at least as not being worthwhile) coupled with AI, and Core warring and making a claim over the system and its mining fields. All in all it sounds like a risky venture if you don't have frequent military detail.

Perhaps the infocard is outdated since the field moved to Lost. If it's referring Nauru, Ennibeck has superseded Fp11 in that regard. Also consider that the local unlawful elements in the Omicrons eye Freeport 11 with suspicion/scrutiny, and vice versa

Freeport 11 would be a good NEMP target if people considered it as freeport and embassy. I like to imagine that all kinds of factions have people on the station and would get upset if they learned about them getting trapped/killed by a NEMP strike. However, there is no active ambassador roleplayed on the station and I guess it'll never happen. Otherwise it'd have a bit of the charme of Huggie's favourite show, Babylon 5.

I just suppose. Since Ennibeck is once again a popup from nowhere, if I recall it correctly. "eyebrow raises to devs again." I don't get the weight of it. It might be a hotspot for Core with their resources they may gain from Rheinland, but you can't expect this base to be a spot for illegal, smuggling and untaxed trading. It should be a hotspot for Rheinland to gain another ground within the Omicrons, but not instantly having the major hotspot.
However I guess it just goes down to the point of how I would do develop the region, if I would be a dev.
