Well a while back I upgraded my processor and since then my computer has been acting strange.
When you hit the power button you have to hit the reset button because the screen won't come on the first boot.
But today it decide that the screen would turn off (and possible windows would crash) 5min after starting up.
So I opened up the case and checked if everything was plugged in. It was all fine.....started booting it in Windows safe mode and trying to get important files off before the screen turn off. Then windows safe mode wouldn't load........about half and hour later windows wouldn't load because the mother board decide that my two hard drives didn't exist.
Stuck in my XP CD and nothing, just said that no hard drive available.

So I think I am going to be unable to play for some time.

Any thoughts on the matter appreciated even if I stupidly broke a important component that ruined the entire thing.

Hmm... not all processors fits every mother board and there is always some CD that comes with software for the hardware components so you might need to install something.
Chipset and such. like you do after every format.
