I've figured out being new, even playing for a couple days stinks when you see all the experienced players start doing all the cool stuff while we're left typing everything over and over.

I've been ignored from this question, and frankly, I'm tired of it!

So, I'm sure this might help. First post. Being a newbie to a complex server is... tough.

So here is my question:

I've seen a lot of pirates, police, and others alike use Text Macros to totally save time typing and the such. I've asked, and asked, and asked, but no reply. They ignore me like I'm a ghost! So, how do I create a Macro that will allow me, with just a simple keystroke I can say a multitude of words without having to stroke my keyboard more than it needs to?

Please help!

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

To be honest, macros signify a complete lack of creativity and general laziness in my opinion. But when people refuse to stop long enough for you to get a message out, they can be necessary.

Try the /setmsg commands.

For the Core.

/setmsg n Text (where "n" is a number 0-9)

/n to send the message in system, /ln for local, /gn for group, /rn for reply to PM...possibly /tn for pm to target.

Also, adding #t into your macro will be replaced by the name of your last target...useful for things such as "Halt, #t and prepare to be scanned"

Try this, this should help you. Also when jn game type /h, /help or even, /?.

Also this is a example. . .
/setmsg 0 Halt! His is a retricted area turn arond and go the way you came.

To use that in game type. . .
/0

That can be used for many things.

Cheers:nyam:
