Had two rather comical experiences with pirates today in the Omegas. I was carrying Gold from Hood/Dublin to New Berlin. I was stopped in Omega 3 by 3 corsairs who demanded 3 mill for me to pass! Now I am assuming they scanned my cargo, and as such they would of noticed I was carrying 997 units of Gold. At NB prices this would of netted me about 2.1 mill, after deducting the 495k i initially paid out.

Well, you forgot something ...

Corsairs and Bretonia are at war.
Goal of any corsair is to make the bretonians die, killing their economy, changing the trading ship targets to their own bases, giving strikes in Cambridge in order to help the kusarians invading Leeds and later all bretonia.
I personally, don't ask money in O3 but destruction of all the cargo or transfert to Cadiz if I'm with a good escort, who got the best deal for you ?

If you met my rogue, i wouldnt give two meeps about if you get no gain from the run. I am a mug, a killer, i give you a chance to pay for your life or i blow you away and take your cargo.

You have a choice either to pay or die a slow and painful death.

I think that if you want to be alive, you should pay even if you get nothing for it. Or else it wouldnt be Pirating much.



and i swear, if i hear another "lol too much, u can kill me" ill give them 1% of hull left. A good 6mil repair cost.

yeah.... With traders now droping close to 4000 units of cargo... who cares really if they don't pay.. just kill them collect the loot, and be done with it... If they decide to pay those 4-5 milion collect those aswell...
