Well, those plasma reactors have to get started somehow dont they? Lol i guess your marauder but still, a computer could not run a ship that bit by *itself* which is what the people where trying to get at. It still needs those robots to help them.

And on the 40k ships many of the people in the crews, well most of thema re press ganged the oens that acctually fire the guns and do all that stuff, that still adds up to a hefty 10000+ crew. In one of the books a little chukc of the Techpreist quarteds got blow off and the captain was alot loss because about 800 men dies and this was a from the loss of about 1 thousanth of the ship or mabey even less.
