Changing Faction

...but I am still LPI-tagged, for my character a Zoner tag would be cool. I already bribed Liberty criminals and the LPI shouldn't be blinking anymore...

...but it still does, so I think I am still LPI tagged.

If my tag was refreshed immediately I'd have a Corsair tag, but you may know it: I want to become a Zoner (which seems most likely only possible with bribes)

You need to make sure the Zoners are just below friendly and then get a double bribe for them, problem solved.
And of course lower any reps you may have with factions that are above Zoners.
Oh your faction affiliation status will not stop until you are right down with them, like neutral.
