Commons Threaten No Confidence
NEW LONDON - Yesterday's session of the Commons openly displayed the long spoken of cracks in the ruling Royalist Party that formed due to disagreements about the direction of Bretonia's economy. The session was adjourned after passion broke out of control and postponed for today.

Today's session had a dramatic start. The division was more obvious today than ever before, as a large group of Royalist MPs were all sitting divided in one group, where each wore an orange ribbon. They had elected a speaker of their own, Wesley Melbourne, MP for New Harlow (or widely but informally known as Chaville). Melbourne's speech was a proclamation of the newly formed Whig Party, as they now call themselves after traditions from Ancient Earth, and thus made the split official.

Melbourne's speech also expressed concern that the current government's foreign policy, besides serving as a drain for "the already drained commoner's wallet", may also "needlessly provoke another conflict with Kusari". Roger Peel of the Royalists, MP for Jarrow Island, reminded Melbourne that "by the Curacao Treaty, both Liberty and Bretonia have an obligation to help Crayter in need, militarily if necessary", and called him "a Judas, who would sell his honour for a few pieces of silver". In response, Melbourne agreed that "there was something that could have been done", but added that "it's too late now". After the following storm of political passion between the Royalists and the newly formed Whigs was calmed down not without much effort, Robert Bailey of the Federalists used the opportunity and threatened to "rid Hacker's government from any pieces of silver" by passing a new finance bill. If this was blocked, he threatened a vote of no confidence. The newly formed Whigs expressed no opposition to this motion, which indicated that the Royalists could now, for the first time since the Commonwealth Era, be outvoted. In the moment of disarray, Oscar Mosley, a young Royalist MP, got up from his seat and attempted to walk towards Melbourne, apparently deeply distraught by the whole affair, shouting words like "traitor" and "communist", but he was reined down by his Royalist colleagues.

At this the session was adjourned, again. Both Peel and Melbourne refused to comment on the matters and this time Bailey remained quiet to us too. Prime Minister James Hacker told us that he would inform us of his decision of how to resolve this party crisis by tomorrow.

The BBC will continue to cover the subject as it develops. Stay tuned.

Where's our Queen in all o'this? I don't care about no silver spoon in mouth idiot career politician telling me what to do, when we've got Mollys stepping up attacks! My brother just last week got a pick in him! I swear!

I want to hear it from that crazy old son of a Queen b*tch Carina, what do we do? The little man? It's getting awful hard to breathe down here...

When contending with a monster, you'd be wise to give the devil his due.

The admiralty couldn't save Leeds and now the parliament can't save New London. God save the Queen from her majesty's government!
