You are mixing up racism and roleplay for no good here.

When you say British, Japanese, American, Spanish, German or any other nationality you are leaving roleplay - period.

You don't know how my characters think, nor how other players' characters think. There's plenty of reasons to call Bretonians 'British', Gallics 'French', Hispanics 'Hispanic'...

If I roleplay a character who says such things, then that's fine.

Hell, there's even an America Base.

Now, if I called a Corsair 'Lithuanian', because the player is Lithuanian, THAT would be wrong.

I have to agree with Kambei here(!). Please use the proper house names, Kusari citizens are NOT Japanese. Stick to the canon of FL. Not to mention, I'd consider "stupid Japanese" as a racist remark.

Just like I would consider stupid brit and whinging pommy as an insult........ British i am:P

I love how far off topic this thread has gotten. Kambei, Blunt, if you want to have a go at each other, please either a) create another topic to do so with, or b) take it to PMs. This bickering has no place in a thread about the large amount of flaming that is occuring today.

Both of you all need to take a chill pill, guys.

Now, for my on topic remark: Yes, there is quite a bit of flaming today. Evidence is the last 20 or so comments in this thread by Kambei and Blunt.

I mean, really guys? Is it that hard to stay on topic here? This is a thread about the flaming that was happeneing yesterday (by my clock), not about the BAF and their ability to pirate as privateers.

I think that this thread has long outlived its usefulness, and maybe deserves to be closed?
