Dark matter storm forces evacuation

Freeport 14, Alberta - The epicenter of the dark matter storm, Freeport 14, the last remaining station in Alberta, has been under lock-down since the storm engulfed the entirety of the system. Few vessels have been granted permission to access the station in hopes of reducing traffic, and the already heavy strain on the station's resources. The storm has been the cause of destruction of a number of stations within the system already, with Freeport 14 only standing strong due to the early preparation and structural reinforcements. While the station seems to be in good health, a number of problems have since arisen, including the lack of medical supplies, a failing in waste management systems, a shortage of fresh water, and a lack of a steady supply of food. Several small scale evacuations have already taken place, with many having ignored the recommendation to leave before it is too late. The Tarrafal is on route, and a mandatory evacuation of the station is now underway. This evacuation fleet will be the last to reach Freeport 14 before the life support is shut down in an attempt to preserve resources in hopes the station can be salvaged. This evacuation is a last attempt to save as many lives as possible before the storm becomes too strong for even the most hardened vessels to pass through. Onboard Freeport 14 is a picture of panic as the last preparations are taking place for the evacuation, with many remaining people being only told to take what they can carry to save space on the vessels coming to retrieve them. It is unsure where the remaining people from Freeport 14 will be relocated to, however rumor has it they will join up with a mobile Zoner colony until further arrangements can be made.
