Massive update. Huge cleaning, removed things that aren't necessary for first glances at characters. Brought the characters up to date (as of today, that is). Added characters that were not included and some characters that are kinda new. Cut a severe amount of yap out of some of the descriptions. Recategorized them into regions + Ling Family because they're honestly their own thing.
This grand overhaul was sparked by a conversation about women in fridges, a term used to satirize the generally low-effort storytelling decision to kill off or severely wound an emotionally significant female character to give an easy motivation reason to a male character. Mothers, wives, daughters, so on and so forth. Stretching the definition a tiny bit, I've also put together a list of fridges for your viewing enjoyment:
