The thing is large stations in planitary orbit are much more structuraly rigid and stable. Compare Newark to the ring, and the ring looks very feeble structuraly.

The appearance of the modules is fine for houses but some of the big trading companies would probaly have their own unique designs build, especialy for their headquarters. The same applies to the Outcasts, Corsairs, Order and Nomads. All these factions would have build their bases from scratch by their selves.

tazuras, I am afraid you've got not a single idea why Altair is distinctively human in design, whilst all the other bases are distinctively Nomad in design, some are custom modeled even, but rest assured there are solid reasons why Altair looks like that. But, of course, don't expect explanations here, I don't give them away until I feel the time is right, and Nomad bases I design as I desire and I see fit.

Pssst, the Xenos built Altair >.>

On a more serious note, more lego pieces would be nice.

I'm fully in support of house-specific stations. It's weird going into Gallia and seeing Sirius House stations.

And for the love of spaceships, please replace that West Point model.

You're right, I dont. It's not in the info card either. And as far as nomad bases go I know next to nothing about them so perhaps I was being presumptuous. All I have seen is images so it just looked like another base that was hacked together then an RP justification was written for it. So I am very plausibly wrong here.

As for the bases in Gallia, yeah, these I really think should be different. Ok, they stole a lot of tech from Sirius, that's not the greatest reason to build bases that look exactly the same. Given that the royals hate Sirius and their extreme national pride I would think they would want them to look as different as possible actually.

Oh, and as for the ring, it pushed the limits of technology many years ago, I would hope they can do better now.

Thanks for all the feedback so far everybody, and thanks for that tutorial Linkus.

I belive a mod had a ship the size of the tiny planet in colorado. Gunnison? I dont know, it was pretty impressive. I dont really notice the stations, but new types of componenets would be nice, perhaps larger biodomes?
