A strangely dressed woman fully clothed in a cloak looked at her friend at the other side of the table where they had laid out some schematics and plans. You know I always thought you would not be into this sort of project. you always seemed a rather peaceful being among us. It seems that even when we share the same family we can get surprised by another one. Her eyes faintly glow after she finished her sentence. She slightly started to laugh while looking over at the holding cells camera aboard the Hekate research ship. "Well, what should I say, I have all eternity to make my mind up... and coming to a conclusion seeing the bigger picture I must say... something new has to be applied for our plans... and I got one. *She gives a faint mad chuckling*. What they were talking about is an extraordinary evolution of how the spread of the Light may one day work. I think the most important part of this project would be that each one of us focuses on specific parts and that we meet every once in a while to attune each part to one another. Of course, we can't forget to take care of our friends in their cells. Her eyes start to glow even stronger. She is obviously talking about their specimens that will be used as test subjects once the project has advanced enough. "Indeed, splitting up works will make things easier. The thing would be though what would be my chunk?" *Stepping closer to the console looking at all the fancy tools on the table, the assets both have acquired over the past days. Her robotic eyes also started glowing more intensely and a sadistic cheeky smirk coated her face*.Well, I think it would be good if you take care of the robotic part since you are probably more advanced in that field than I am. Once her sister Eidothea agreed on the part she wants to take care of the strangely hooded person focuses on the papers in front of her. Most importantly this project has to remain between us for now. I can't tell how the others would react to our plans so we should keep it low profile for now."It is sad, but don't worry big sis', they will understand one day when seeing what fruits our new little children will bear.". As they agreed on keeping it as low profile as possible the hooded figure turns around and walks towards some of the machines and starts to adjust various settings to start her part of the work.
Eidothea then proceeded over to one of the capsules with one of the specimen giving him a scary smile. Holding a test tube in one of her robotic hands the woman in her silvery bodyframe looked at it, gesturing thinking. "Mayhaps I should take up the part to investigate these little nanites and tinker on the machinery... worked as a mechanic and knowing how my roboticized body works in and out would help... I... would just need some documents how we did procedures on dear Chloris, maybe could give some insights, what do you think sis'" Stepping closer to the capsule scratching at the reinforced glass with one of her retractable metal claws she felt an sadistic desire to see these in her mind ignorant darklings to suffer. "Well, I have most of the scanns saved in my Ais databank I can unlock it for you so you get full access to Chloris scans. It has some interesting data about the robotics and functions in it." Nodding as she heard the satisfying answer in her ears ringing, she proceeded then to do a test run on a little prototype. "Well, best thing to figure out something works is to reverse engineer it... taking it apart looking at its simpler structure at the core..."
A robotic arm went out and injected a mixture of chemicals, nanites and other shady ingredients, both have worked on for the past days. "If this goes right it should start to atleast alternate the arm, in a way..." Watching closely as the man inside the capsule screams she observes with a keen eye. He was struck in pain.
To her observation she sees something pleasant, not perfect but something atleast. The nanites didn't do much what they should do, instead of manifesting to the human body and healing it they just ate it apart leaving the man left with a hideous half eaten away limb covered in grey goo. "How unfortunate." She hears and chuckles when hearing the cursing of the man and screams what a witch she would be and a cursed bit--.
The words of an ignorant darkling don't mean much to her. Progress has to be made, sacrifices to be made. "Well, current progress is that we can alternate the processes of the nanites... we just need to make them "intelligent" enough to fit our idea. We know we can reprogram that is good to know." She writes down eagerly everything, documenting each movement and observation with each experiment. "Hm, what else can this little capsule do... you said you used them to study the effects of Azurite before? Or making fancy energy devices tell me more? What can it do... to remake people" She chuckles mad with her gentle but slightly evil sounding robotic feminine voice. "We used this capsules for a lot of work and experiments. They are very resistant to most mixtures and compounds. I also use them for my weapon prototypes I have to replace them annualy but thats alright. But I don't recommend using the compound I use for my weapons.. lets just say it would end up with a wasted specimen". With that answer she goes back to the working table taking once more a deeper look to the nanomachines, in hope to remake and "re-educate" mankind one day.
Meanwhile, Cortana is busy adjusting some data inputs in a device that looks rather strange. "Damn it, seems like I have made the wrong calculations again." With anger she takes a glimpse at what her sister is doing for her everything was going good as it seems. If there only was a way to make this compound more resistant when it gets exposed to air. She mumbled in anger. But then she suddenly had an idea. What if she would try to ionize the gas compound to such an extent that it would change almost change its property. "It would need some different device if I would do it like that and it might not be as easy as to just dump it into the air but it would rather work like an inhalator... but once it is so ionized we can't tell what would happen once the nanites are added. What do you think sister?"
She takes the highly unstable mixture out of the machine and prepares a syringe. She walks over to the chamber where their specimen was still in a lot of pain and agony but she couldn't be bothered with that too much. After a brief look at the arm, the specimen has just lost and a little evil smirk showed on her lips and prepare to inject the subject with the mixture into the other arm. "Well, time to see if this mixture is any good or if you lose your other arm. *She starts to laugh* She used a strap to stop the spread of the compound to the rest of his body and after that, she injected the mixture into a vein in his hand. She closely observed the subject who started to scream because of the severe pain the compound induced. The veins started to turn into some blueish color. Proudly she walks out of the chamber because she thought the compound would have worked suddenly the subject collapsed to the ground and stoped to scream. Well, seems like it was a bit too much to handle for that weakling time to get the next subject. She calls the security to bring in the next subject and to get rid of the now-dead subject.
She was thinking if she might has used a too high dose of the mixture and that that could be the reason why the subject collapsed when she suddenly got noticed over the ship's internal communication system that the subject that was believed to be dead started to breathe again. She immediately made her way over to the medical station as she had a feeling that something was very wrong. Once she arrived she saw that the subject was chained down and the presence felt very different than before. "Seems like you are not so weak after all. You two securities will stay guard here just in case something goes wrong if that happens you have my allowance to immediately terminate him. I will send someone over to take a closer look at him I don't have time for that right now."
After a season of tiresome experiments Eidothea was already more annoyed than pleased, in her attempts now applied with "pragmatic despairism" and more of the slaves dooms, she eventually comes to an conclusion, a delighted grim smile coated her face in the shady lighting, holding one of the latest test tubes filled with the mix, refitted to be applied in a syringe she says with her mad chuckling "So, who of you sweeties is the next? This time it will bring fruits. I think I've made a little breakthrough sis' nothing much, but you'll see."
Upon the next sad victim receiving the dosis, it turned out as what she saw while taking the nanites aparts and reassembling them, there is a rythm to break, accordingly a certain algorithm of waves on a nanospectrum unknown to humans eyes and ears work as a "guide" for the nanomachines to transmit data code, it is to alternate the code strings of the waves to transmit the right data, with filling the little containers with the right liquid or making the bots adapt to take the targets apart and take from the nearest vicinity possible ressources for the restructuring program.
And indeed it turned out that the nanites began to slowly mechanize the limb, though their program code didn't seem "fleshed out" enough yet. It is to break this code, using certain appliances... and finding a right mixture of materials for the whole "mechanization" process. Her smile became more evil seeing the results. Parts of the victims arms were mechanized, not perfect, but the alteration of materials was possible. With this Eidothea got new findings in how these nanites would react to their environment and coding.
"Well, what can I say... it is time to compose my own little Symphony... *mad robotic chuckling*" She steps back to the table archiving the recent test results. "Excellent, we will need to work on that then for the future, I'll leave you my writings here sis' Pardon but I have to go, let's say meeting someone for getting more"Inspiration", *chuckles more*" With that she grabbed her long dark grey jacked and walked out waving to the slaves in the pods with another evil smile, while her glowing robotic eyes slowly faded out into the dark.
Now it was for her to refine and improve the whole process, to fullfill her dream of the next generation of mankind.
Meanwhile, Cortana was on her way to the medical bay where the now strangely mutated person was bound to his bed "You do not seem to be very happy with what happened to you." She starts to laugh while deeply staring into the eyes of the prisoner. She had some weird look in her eyes almost as if she was pleased with the results her testing has gotten her. She took a few steps closer to him and watched closely as she saw how some tissue started to melt and got replaced by something that could almost resemble nomad cells. "You do seem more attractive than before look how far the Light can bring you if you get lucky. If you could see all the other prisoners how they look... My little sister did a good job so far but I think I did a better one don't you think?" A grim little smirk started to form on her lips.
After a while, she returned to the Lab with a smile on her face that she didn't show a whole lot. She walked over to Eidothea and put a little capsule in her hand. "Listen, I have some business to attend but I should be back soon enough, this little compound works more or less but you will have to figure out how to dose it correctly unless you want to have some fun okay? Once we are back we want to see some form of progress and if you need more specimens let me know." She then began to make her way to the docking bays where her shuttle to her other ship waited. She was fully confident that her little sister will find a way to make that compound work together with the nanites.
She gladly took the capsule, unknowing which hardships will await which would give her a fun time. Meanwhile after her little tour to get inspiration at a "friend", she stepped up entirely her game with the laboratory. Assembly lines with experimental machines controlling the flow of production for special parts. Optronic and micro chip manufactures ensuring control over the futurly obedient "androids", entire other dubious machines, the whole gloomy hall was filled with ideas and new gadgetry she caught up, with a grim smile she holds the little capsulse wondering how this will come to fruition.
While the assembly lines already made the new waves of synthoplasm infuzed with modified gammu nanites, she stood in front of the capsules looking at her specimen again. Machines determining the best rythm calibrated these gammu nanites, at last she managed to make her formula to properly refine the "robotification" process. The first converted humans stood in front of them, empty obedient faces, glowing red eyes covering their faces, some left in their metallic form, while others gained layers of synthoskin. She thought of how to put this to good use... then an idea sparked her mind. The states of Bretonia and Gallia lost many people in the recent war... to stock up on manpower... to secretly infiltrate the nobles and higher lines of each respective militaries with their little robotic helpers. This will be their first test, them being sold servile androids proving themselfes worthy infiltrating the humans militaries serving for the light.
With this she will see who can be deemed worthy for the further enhancements... sadly after doing some experiments with Thraike's capsule it seemed that the nanite infuzed synthoplasm reacted to volatile with the nomadic compound, even leaving one to entirely melt down, one capule exploding. Yes this will need to be looked over more thoroughly, but glad that her little nanovirus comes to fruition she finally managed to setup a whole little platoon of roboticized humans all ready to serve her schemes and, if they won't she always reminded them of the micro chips and pain inductors, filling the halls with screams of those deviant and her giving more sinister chuckles.
Now it is to find out who will be the first lucky persons to get a hold of cooperation with these human machines. Many more paperwork was to come but she already felt a warm thrilling rush inside her, seems everything is going according to plan. After a while of training and performing tests how these roboticized people would adapt to the new circumstances she found out that every results couldnt be any more different. Some seemed to adapted well, craving for power... easily manipulated, some still stayed deviant or were struck in cyber psychosis. Developing medicals with the help of her little doctor friend to stimulate the brains, which are kinda "in a jar" conserved like wrapped in cables in micro chips she did her best to free them from any psychic conditions. Still if they would disobey... she can always see how these deviants would get their consequences.
The possibilites knew no border, some could be specialized for certain tasks, parts could be easily replaces, them being retrofitted and used in environments you never thought before. Let's see what her partner will think about this.
