. . Greetings, Government of Liberty. My name is Albert, and I'm a part of the group known as Starfliers. Our leader, Leon, and a couple of our other pilots have left for Trenton Outpost to do some virtual simulation training with Universal Shipping. That leaves me to do some of the unfinished work left here. My communication today relates to one part of this unfinished list I must get through. It's just a simple confirmation of a handful of your House Laws. The Starfliers need a concrete transmission from the Libertonian Government about our operations within your space. Liberty Law 4.2 states the ""Corvo" Civilian Deep Space Explorer and "Bustard" Civilian Light Carrier are not considered Warships." This means our flagship vessel, '\S/'NX-01 is allowed to fly in your space no problem. However, there's no law stating that Jump Drives or Hyperspace Surveying tools are restricted within your space. With this in mind, a Civilian "Bustard" Carrier carrying this kind equipment is allowed free passage to use Jump Drives and Surveying Tools without any license or agreement? Once I have confirmation of these laws, I can strike this on the list and move on to the other matters I need to resolve. Godspeed, Liberty. . .

As you have correctly noticed, the Laws of the Republic allow owning and flying of the Bustard-class vessel. On top of that, there is nothing in the Laws that would prevent you or any other Starfliers from equipping and using Jump Drives of any kind and Hyperspace Surveying tools. You do not need any license or any sort of approval to be using such technology, however if the Law Enforcement finds that your usage of such technology is to aid Liberty's underworld then proper measures will be taken against you and your organization, as is easily predictable.

On a last note, usage of the mark four jump-drive on a tradelane intersection is highly not recommended as it could lead to trouble with local law enforcement agencies. If any of your ships are equipped with that type of jump-drive you are required to warn before beginning the charge and maintain a safe distance from any trade lane or installation while doing so.
