Message Reads:
This is the Aurora Station auto-distress beacon. This signal has been activated by station emergency measures. This signal has been broadcasted due to the following conditions being met:
-No crew check in for 6 months.
-Station hull integrity approaching 60 % and falling.
-Station main computer automatically shifted to 'Stand By' mode, with reset master password listed.
-Station is standing by for emergency input.
Emergency mode will remain active until further input received by a user. Defense Mode 4 activated. Any vessels receiving this signal are requested to provide assistance to Aurora Station, located in the (garbled data) system, sector (garbled data).
There is some interference messing up the last part of the signal, from bouncing around the Tau-31 Ice field, but it can be notably traced back to Tau-31. However, the exact source of the transmission is still impossible to pin point, with all of the thick ice and other assorted debris scattered throughout the system.
This single core (POB) base has been officially abandoned and has gone to 'emergency stand by mode'. No IFF set, anyone should be able to dock. Check the base info tab for more info, including the base's new master password.
It may be claimed by whoever finds it first, who can use that pw to take over the base, to do with as you please. (This was Hudson's base but I am done with it so I've decided to leave it open to claim, no this is not part of a ploy or intelligence agenda, etc.)
