Subject: Merger
In the last few months, we have seen much change in the Enterprise. We have picked up some good people in our organization and we have seen the quality of our treatment improve as a result. Science and research has done very well as has training. Seminars at the Academy, training being done with the 46th in New York and a quiet contract completed with the Crayter Republic for the training of combat medics. I credit Med Force Academy as the reason why. People want to come there to train and learn. The unfortunate result, if you choose to see it this way, is that we have seen a decline in surgeries at General-B. Organizations and people are doing more themselves courtesy of our teachings so I guess it is not so bad.
With [MFE]Med.Force.One still doing its work and the Academy doing its work, I am starting to see less of a need for General-B. Why? With less medical work being performed there and supplying the base becoming more difficult, I was thinking we could merge the surgical ward into the Academy. Think of it! When people are there to see what we do, they would not have to shuttle to over to see it. Also, the secrecy of Med Force One could be maintained. It would be like a one-stop shop for our guests, trainees and visitors. So, I propose this:
-We put General-B up for sale. Before we do, we will get it well supplied and keep it going for whoever may buy it. Whatever it sells for will go directly to the fund of the Academy.
-Med Force Academy is then relocated in orbit of Pygar. It was my intention when all of this started to support the people on Pygar. Keeping it in Zoner territory would alleviate the need for gun platforms and....
-The storage could be increased to accommodate all new services.
-Med Force General and Research in Baffin's mission will remain the same. We would be able to expand there as well.
We would have to be selective of who we sell to. We need to consider our Corsair neighbors and our peaceful existence with them. We would not want, say, Outcasts to be the purchasers as I am sure the Corsairs would then be quite upset with us.
So do consider this proposal and feel free to add to it whatever you may feel. I can see that we will have plenty of work to do.

Hello John,
It's good to hear from you. I know we are both busy and haven't been able to have the monthly meetings as we hoped to have but let me say I like the proposal. Merging both General-B and the academy is not only a good way of cutting operational costs it can also greatly benefit those attending the academy.
For one, it would reduce the shuttle trips back and forth as students do their rounds but, more importantly, operating both a hospital and a medical academy from a single station would ensure that in time of crisis, scaling up can be more time-efficient and therefore a lifesaver.
I also think that moving back to planet Pygar is a good idea seeing that the majority of patients at General-B are mainly from Pygar itself. The planet can still be quite the hostile place even though most of the population is underground.
Now back to the merger. Having single-handedly funded the academy I see no reason why ownership of the station should not be transferred to MFE. Regarding the funds obtained from the sale of General-B I would suggest it be deposited in the MFE account and that the new station be funded from MFE funds accordingly. I'd also suggest we think of a new name yet that I do not think it is such an urgent issue yet.
Business wise, as long as I am still with MFE (which I intent to be for a long time), I also insist that I be the final decision maker regarding the possible sale of the station in the future with a maximum term of 3 years after the merger. Termination of employment (either from me or MFE) does not change this obligation.
Should the station be sold, rent out or leased to any other faction, individual or entity within the abovementioned period I am entitled to 50 percent of the market value which is valued by a non-affiliated, independant third-party at such time.
Let's plan a real-life meeting and discuss this over a drink. It was my idea to suggest Ames Research station in Kepler yet it would be better to meet at Bethlehem station in Penssylvania or, even better, somewhere in Theta. Just let me know.

Hi, Jill,
The terms look pretty reasonable to me. You have done a splendid job running the academy and your leadership is key to keeping things going in the future. I prize myself more as a physician and researcher more than an administrator. I think meeting over this would be a good idea. The whole Kepler system is a mess so I just assume avoid that. Whichever works best for you between Bethlehem or Theta itself let me know. I will be there.
