Ok well my dad got a new computer its got a nvidea 6500 agp video card 3 gigs of ram a 2.4 duo core intel pentium 4 processor.....
Just statistics, i dont have my hard copy of freelancer anymore but i have a image file copy i run using powerISO
So,
I installed powerISO
Installed FL (game worked plain)
Installed The Mod Manager and had the DSupdater the acount manager and the global workaround ready to load but i was going to do that after i installed the mod.
Now the problem i start unzipping the mod and i get...
Access to C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods\Discovery4854beta\DATA\EQUIPMENT\MODELS\COMMODITIES\PILOT_ICONS\brandmiral.3db was denied.
Ive reinstalled everything except windows countless times.
Can someone leave me a basic manuel for installing from a image copy of the game? from installing the game to getting accounts going, it would be very much appreciated.

Are you doing the install as an administrator?
The vista UAC stuff is fussy about FLMM (and dsupdate)...you need to either do the installation from the administrator account or make sure you run FLMM as administrator (right click on FLMM.exe and select run-as administrator). The same applies to the dsupdate.exe application.
