Good day commodore Uhmen,
The meeting went fluently but was short. I've returned to Manhatten for a short debrief. The most important notes are that this person who calls herself Val Kyrie, still can't believe she made this name official, is also known Leilana Marie Olson. She is related to Lillian Olson, her younger sister. Their looks seem to match except from their hair which is quite the opposite. Lieutenant Olson of the 46th being the black haired one and this Freelancer being white haired, but their voice is even quite alike. They did not grow up together and are half-sisters from what I gathered.
Leilana Marie Olson seems honest, but I still find her story for obtaining an insurgency ship vague. She claims she had a college friend who joined the insurgency and used him has a contact to get her ship. Leilana herself was in the Navy for 6 years before she stepped out, she considered herself to be too 'Maverick' to stay in the force.
It wouldn't surprise me if she actually was in the insurgency herself and now, she got cold feet, knowing that it's only a matter of time before we wipe the last of them. I don't see her as a threat for now but if she committed crimes to the Republic she should not be allowed to run around freely. But to remind you, I have no proof of her actually being in the insurgency.

Thank you for keeping me updated on the situation. While I don't have any personal information or interest of Lieutenant Olson's status, the information you've provided me with might be of use in the future.
For the time being, I recommend not treating Olson's sister, "Miss Kyrie" in any way which would make her feel suspicious. The government has accepted her license and has chosen to believe her story, allow me to remind you that you still work for the government, lieutenant. That being said, however, it seems that Miss Kyrie is somehow aware of the Akhetaten's presence in Kansas the other day even though the Akhetaten remained cloaked for the entire duration of our stay in the system.
You wouldn't happen to have anything to do with that, right lieutenant?

Good day commodore Uhmen,
This lieutenant had nothing to do with you or your crew messing up comms. A broadcast that was intended for me on a private channel instead reached Ava Sky, the civilian that was present at the location in Kansas. When she received the broadcast, she notified miss Kyrie about this. If this were a formal investigation than such mishap could've cost us a lot more, so I am glad it wasn't, but I do expect that such incidents don't happen in the future. Furthermore, there is no proof that you were actually in the area but the broadcast itself being 'We are aware' suggests enough that you were able to listen into my conversation with miss Kyrie.
You don't have to remind me who I am working for either. I very well know what my duties to the Republic are. I was merely asking a civilian some questions which they are free to answer on their own accord. Me overstepping would be me arresting her for proper questioning. Something I think the Government should have done in the first place. On top of that they should have send technicians to her ship and have it properly scanned and vetted. To my knowledge neither has happened and with her mentioning officers like Olson, there was enough reason to have her properly vetted.
When I do meet miss Kyrie again, I'll let her know that there is no formal investigation and that she is free to do as she pleases within the laws. Same goes for her answering my questions if I do happen to have any. I will not pressure her to answer any of them.
If there is more that you require from me than I'll leave this channel open. I can also collect the logs for you if you require it. However, it will take me a while to compile them due to the different channels that were open at the time.
