Modus Operandi

The Merchant Marine division is primarily tasked with large-scale logistical operations in war and peacetime. In all instances, the Merchant Marine Division can be called upon for auxiliary support to the Main Fleet, whether to supply medical, food, and other supplies or to respond to an emergency regarding spaced contraband as may be required. The Division has numerous ships of appropriate classes to meet their assigned task, whether adapted liners to transport personnel and civilians to and from where they need to be or repair vessels to aid the Main Fleet in combat. The Merchant Marine Division can source, haul, and deliver whatever the Fleet needs. As the bulk of the Merchant Marine Divisional assets are transports, Main Fleet squadrons will be assigned as escorts when required.

Naming Convention

The naming convention for Merchant Marine-designated craft is as follows:

46th|MM-LNT-<Shipname>
- Designated to any transport craft

46th|MM-LRS-<Shipname>
- Designated to any repair craft

Recruitment Process

The standard recruitment process is to be undertaken by external personnel, be it a lateral transfer from the Secondary Fleet, or a civilian looking to join the Liberty Navy. For current active duty Officers of the Fourty-sixth Fleet, you need only advise your chain of command of your interest.
