Defying her blood: A Navy hopeful's oddysey.
Born beneath the desert sun, in Pittsburgh's embrace,
of Liberty's House, with a warrior's grace.
Dreaming amidst the dunes, in a harsh, starlit sand sea,
of the First Armada's call, where she longed to be.
Xeno parents frowned, at the navy's sight,
Their hatred ran deep, in this part of Sirius Sector's night.
A heroine waiting, she would rise above the fray,
to join the First Armada, she planned to find her way.
With courage bold, her heart takes flight,
To break the chains, to find her light,
She'll navigate through tempest's might,
For in the Armada, she'll find her flight.
Though storms may rage, and tears may fall,
She'll heed the inner, fearless call,
To stand her ground, her truth defend,
In Armada's blue, her dreams ascend.
Seeking out her goal will be,
Difficult and not ordinary,
Finding a way to break free from the chains,
She tries so hard to pick her brains,
And after thinking about her plight,
She decides it is time to take the fight.
To mother she went, full of hope.
Emotions sprawling like a spinning kaleidoscope. "MA, MY HEART THE NAVY IS CALLING!" - she shouts excitedly, "YOU WRETCHED CHILD!" - her mother's slipper starts swinging decidedly.
Slipper slipped and decidedly struck,
Without a doubt an evil look,
Storming out she yells and screams,
Without a doubt she will follow her dreams,
Of being there to patrol and serve,
It will be such a learning curve.
From every curve she does,
Will she fight like any of us,
The ship flying with her pride,
Her style is up to her decide,
Fighting into battle she will,
With skill, she will get the kill.
The kill was so good and satisfying,
Never to doubt that she was flying,
Borrow ships seems the way,
To learn a skill and kill prey,
Learning a skill to fly the nest,
To learn to fly for the best,
After training, she will see,
What kind of operative she will be,
Breaking chains cannot come too soon,
Flying off beyond the moon,
Testing things to see what is best,
And eventually, escape the nest.
She yearned to escape, the Pittsburgh's hold so tight,
To find West Point Academy's guiding light.
Her dream, that first scalp, a Navy officer's might,
But borrowing a ship? A formidable plight.
For Xenos scarce gave ships away, they held them closely,
To secure one on Pittsburgh, she'd need to act wisely.
Her parents' ancient Rebel ship, though far from clear,
A patchwork vessel, with it her escape from the Xeno hideout could be near.
She called her folks, a cunning plan in sight,
Claimed LPI's grip on her, filled their hearts with fright.
A Xeno band departed with her parents angrily,
With the policemen who "held her" they indented to deal with hastily.
With her plan and Xenos departure close, her timing had to be right,
She stole her parents' ship and soared away through starry night.
In the dead of night, she made her escape,
From West Point's grip, in the darkness draped,
Her footsteps quiet, her resolve so strong,
With the Navy's allure, she'd truly belong.
Through Navy clutches, she silently fled,
A daring spirit, courage widespread,
Her heart ablaze with a Justice's fire,
Determined to reach where her dreams aspire.
To Protect the home, her destiny clear,
A Navy Pilot without fear,
She left her past and secrets behind,
A new life, in the Navy, she'd find.
When she finally arrives at West Point, oh so keen,
Full of hope, starry-eyed, after graduation, she'd become the First Armada's queen!
A Xeno girl in her folks' rusting Rebel machine,
But the West Point enrollment officers, oh, what a scene!
"Born to Xeno parents," they said with a sneer, "No formal education? My child, you shouldn't be even here!
Arriving in a Xeno ship, the protocol, it's quite clear,
We should lock you up, not a navy fighter let you steer!"
Her Rebel ship confiscated, oh, what a blow,
They planned to drop her off on Erie, don't you know? "The planet Alma Marines now control,
with the other lost souls under their watchful gaze you shall roam."
She couldn't believe what she was hearing,
Not yet before the First Armada even appearing,
Prejudiced Enrolment Officers try to crush her dream,
Her path won't be as easy as her daring Pittsburgh escape made it seem.
Her first try rejected, ship confiscated, oh, what a blow,
They dropped her off on Erie, in a guarded "suspects" area don't you know?
But this Xeno born girl had tricks up her sleeve, oh so sly,
She'd prove them wrong with a twinkle in her eye.
With determination strong, she'd learn the ropes,
Prove her Xeno blood alone won't snuff her hopes.
After the tears have dried off her face,
Her body and mind will a new plan embrace.
A chance at joining the First Armada, will never leave her scopes,
Her starry-eyed dreams would help her cope!
So she decided - I will train and I will scramble to make my own ship
Through actions and marksmanship, I will earn my Navy fellowship.
Actions made her abandon unlawful comrades
It felt as if it was a charade
She wants to join the Navy, but it could be dangerous and precarious
She has been watching closely watching the guards and inmates
And also the patrols around the gates, to assess the way she will make an escape
After long enough she decided to get some work if possible with the design section
Making it possible to analyse a ship for action
So making steps to improve her status and make people trust her more,
She finally gets to meet the warden, who accepts her as she implores
For her to assist in certain tasks and be given the freedom to ask
So this trust is what she really wanted, and makes steps to get her wanted
After a while she found a vessel, that is bashed up and needs attention
It is of Navy origin, and an Executioner is its mention
She manages to find some specs, which will help her to make repairs
So in secret she tries her best but gets found out and is now at rest.
The warden asks her what she was doing, to this vessel that is wrecked
And she answered the warden " I want to be a Navy operative"
And make her life better than it was, and hope she can make the cut
But the warden says this is not good,
And she is to be kept under observation with less food
She manages to befriend a guard who helps her in her plight for flight
And lets her go to the vessel and fix, the things she wants and also mix
She manages to get parts to repair
And starts to show her skill with flair
Making better the vessel itself and it looks just like it should itself.
Once again she is found out and the warden takes her out of confine
And makes her do jobs on the line
making parts for various things
She sits and wonders how she will get, this Navy wish to fly so high
They will never ever let her comply and she knows that she MUST fly.
After weeks of toil, her efforts took their toll,
She crafted a ship, no longer grim and cold.
Random parts she grabbed whenever she could,
Now a functional but messy ship before her stood.
A Frankenstein's fighter, a sight to behold,
Closer to a Collector than an Executioner, with tales to be told.
Through her conduct and demeanour, bridges started to mend,
Warden, Navy Marines, and Zoners, their tensions began to transcend.
As weeks flowed by, hostilities would amend,
Life's rhythm returning, Erie's wounds starting to blend.
Soon, her ship was ready, the moment to ascend,
A plan in motion, to prove herself, no end.
As she did on Pittsburgh, on a starry night, from Erie, she would wend,
To Kansas and Vespucci she ventured her valor to commend.
Pumping with adrenaline, she blasted off
Looking back trying not to scoff,
Flying free and glad to be gone,
Stopping not for anyone,
Trying out the guns she had,
Making certain pilots mad,
The barely working cloaking device came in handy,
When seeing something that looked shady,
Making her way through nasty systems,
With pace and vigour that can only be listed,
Coming close to fights and near misses,
She makes her way to the target system.
In Kansas and Vespucci's complicated expanse,
She moves towards her purpose and starts taking her chance.
With Xenos secrets from her parents, Zoner knowledge from Erie in her hand,
She decides she will earn her place by reinforcing the Navy's stand.
Through days and weeks, her mission stayed true,
In Kansas Depths and Vespucci's battle stew
To Navy patrols, her messages flew,
Warnings of peril, tips of danger her reputation slowly grew.
"Xeno ambush here!" she'd declare,
In Kansas, Vespucci, she'd always be there.
A guardian angel, silent yet bold,
Saving lives with secrets she'd unfold.
The Zoners sought to uncover her name,
But she stayed ahead, in this shadowy game.
Unknown in Kansas and Vespucci's domain,
Her guiding light shone, hiding her fame.
As time passed on, her legend did grow,
In Kansas, Vespucci, her deeds did show.
Officers wondered, who could she be?
This guardian angel, setting knowledge free.
And then appeared a lonely ship,
1st| tagged and began to slip,
Taking damage she proceeded to help,
As the pilot cried out for help,
In her patchwork fighter, she joined them in combat and the pilot was grateful,
And commended her on the way she did fight,
It seems that she has ended her plight,
To prove herself and take the fight.
The lone pilot turned out to be high-ranked,
And promised her to be frank, "I’m telling my command about your skill
Of dispatching these enemies with accomplished will"
She smiled with pride and made a sigh,
Her dream came true and she felt so high.
For the first time ever the First Armada noticed her,
Satisfaction so great her heart could almost not bare.
To Ohio, they took her scrappy vessel in stride,
A comical contrast to Liberty Navy's pride.
A beat-up Frankenstein, all patched and tied,
Entering a modern warship, with technology finest universe-wide.
In Pittsburgh's Xeno hideout, darkness unfurled,
While Ohio gleamed, like a gem in the world.
She told her story, as her tale unfurled,
Of West Point's plight and Erie's exile swirled.
The officers listened, their amazement wide,
For she was the guardian, in whom they confide.
Saving countless lives, feeding information to their side,
She'd been their saviour, in her falling apart ride.
With gratitude and honour, they finally did say, "Welcome home, in the light of the day.
You've proven yourself, in every way,
To West Point with honours, you'll find your way."
A Cadet of the First Armada, her future now shining so bright,
Her journey is just starting but feels like a dream after her intricate plight.
A complicated history, and experiences of a lifetime, yet now in the Navy she's once again green,
But that doesn't bother her, for after what she's been through, she - Ramona Violet - knows nothing can stop her from becoming the First Armada's Queen.
