Makes me wonder if it's going to persist further or it's just removing clearly rudimentary text long outdated.

As far as I'm aware, that was just removing ID flavour text that said X factions were still fighting for the Federalists, when the Federalists clearly no longer exist as a separate faction.

The history isn't being erased, no. What does need to happen is Rheinland's infocards adequately reflecting the events and outcome of the civil war, given that a lot of them were only updated to reference the start.

It's actually a rather straightforward constitutional monarchy, all it needs is fleshed out and told where the democratic dials and executive powers lie in actual canon rather than a forum post story did at the time hidden in gov channel that's not even confirmed to be canon.

What needs to be freshly done is Unioner and Bundshuh lore, reps, motivations as they just "forgot" back then and left them in limbo

I'm pretty sure the Federals just kinda felt like it was watching the imperials grab the cookie jar, and throwing the entire thing out the window. Not really fun for anyone when you realise there's not much after that except a fat mess. Apart from finding the Federals on the defensive and lots of station ownership swapping..
