Service History

As the Outcasts influence grew, so did its need for more warships to counter the ever growing arsenal of its enemies. The "Vedetta" as it was originally christened, was one of many Sorta-class destroyers produced out of Valletta Shipyard before its integration into the greater Corsica Shipyard we know today. Primarily used as a scouting and raiding vessel routinely found in the upper Taus, and fringes of Corsair territory as part of lightning raids.

As of 828 A.S, it was integrated into the Maltese Acquisition, which saw a shift in its usual duties. Along with the occasional raid it found itself in, it also worked as a fighter platform and heavy escort for the Acquisition's Cardamine shipments. With this shift, the crew found its way into the lower Taus and Independent systems just outside of greater house space. This routine duty persisted until 831 A.S. when the widespread slave uprising occurred on Malta. Many ships including the "Vedetta" were called back to Malta to assist in quelling this unprecedented event.

With the revolt quelled as of 833 A.S. and the demands of Cardamine were still at an all-time high, the Vedetta found itself in a record setting convoy in hopes to restore the Cardamine stocks to pre-revolt levels. With the success of the convoy, the Acquisition took the opportunity to refit many of its ships seeing as their enemies have exploited the Outcasts in their moment of weakness. With the age of the vessel and the proximity to Corsica, the "Vedetta" was one of the first to be retrofitted. The ship's arsenal and subsystems were updated and the ship was renamed the "Sangallo" following the Outcasts rebuilding efforts.

The Sangallo has found itself more on the defensive, stationed regularly in Omicron Alpha and assisting in combating the Corsair advances within nearby Omicron Theta system. For now, outside of neighboring systems, the ship rarely ventures deeper without accompanying ships.
