Merlin will spearhead development and restoration of Assault Vessel Excalibur, as well as improvements to the current design. This project is marked as high priority.
Details
INS Excalibur, among other ships, made the rendezvous, but suffered considerable damage as a result of the Battle of Magellan. While the ship is space-worthy, many systems relating to attack and defense, as well as the ship's sensor suite, were either damaged or lost entirely from enemy fire and cyberwarfare attacks.
Excalibur is based on Liberty technology, native to our engineers. Outside assistance on this is expected to be minimal. Standard OPSEC protocols are in place.
Due to native technology boons, as well as the extent of Excalibur's damage and upgrade potential, Command has ensured that supplemental Drydock 4 will remain clear for restoration.
Equipment
Merlin will make use of the following task forces, vessels, equipment, special personnel and access codes:
AV Excalibur
Logistics Wing B
Logistics Wing C
Security Clearance HIGHLANDS
Status
The current status of this project is:
IN DEVELOPMENT
This project is currently in the early phases of execution.
Update: Day 1 Profile: Trch. Amy West
Subject: Overview
Details
Now that the Incursus is back in (mostly) working order, I can start working on the other projects I've had sitting in the backlog since Barrier Gate. Excal' was one of the Warhammer ships that made the rendezvous, but took a serious battering during Duskstorm. Most of the hull is intact, but the internals are all over the place. There's fried electrical systems sapping power from the reactor, and life support has been running at an unusually consistent 57%. Nothing too dangerous, but those coming aboard to work either need to pop a stim every hour or so or head off the ship to breathe some nice bottled station air.
It's more annoying than anything, really.
General overview of the work looks like it's going to mostly be a technical fix, though I doubt the fried electronics spared anything sensitive past the engineering deck. The LSF also enjoy their cyberwarfare much like I do, so naturally there's a virus floating around the primary database. Turns the lights off, fucks with the gravity generators just that little bit. Same with the air; it's really more annoying than anything else.
I'll have a more in-depth look over the particulars after I've had my look over of the rest of the ships in backlog. Incursus is going to need escorts, so no time like the present.
West, out.
