The Gallic National Intelligence - Personnel and Auxiliary Personnel Databases

Gallic National Intelligence operates a significant amount of personnel. These men and women serve Gallia to the utmost of their ability, frequently laying down their lives to protect our great house. Operating in the shadows so that our people may live in the light.

Recorded here are the records of the personnel and auxiliary personnel of the Gallic National Intelligence. You may access their dossier with at least a Tier-3 security clearance for auxiliary personnel, and a Tier-4 security clearance (excluding during extraordinary measures and only on a need-to-know basis) for the regular personnel. Please note; not all agents are recorded here, and this may or may not be due to ongoing operations, terminated classified operations, or for other reasons such as early termination.

The Gallic National Intelligence - Personnel Database entry

  • Name, surname: Bernard COUTON
  • Date of Birth and age: 28th of February 708 AGS / 42 years old
  • Codename : Six Trees
  • Ships used : Sexarborius (Frigate), Albiorix (Gunboat)

AGENT DOSSIER

Bernard Couton is, counter-intuitively, an easy man to find.
After moderately successful studies, he entered public service early on as staff officer, one among countless others tasked with the day-to-day running of the Gallic military administration.
His records are plentiful : he has served in a variety of unremarkable though essential postings all across Gallia, eventually rising to the corps of military attachés, essentially aide-de-camp to superior officers. There, his evaluation records depict a well-connected individual with proper manners and impenetrable equanimity. He was not known as an ardent Royalist, but never gave a reason to be suspected of harbouring Conseillard sympathies. Performance review points to this lack of enthusiasm, as well as a tendency to not go the extra mile, to explain his stagnation in the hierarchy. There are hints throughout his file that he took major umbrage at this, though went to great pains to conceal it.

He served the then-commandant Isabelle Montlaville de Chanteloup during her stint in internal security and counter-intelligence. She wrote this about him in her end-of-term report :
"COUTON, B. : Discreet, punctual, efficient. Knows a lot of people like him. Clearly dislikes the aristos but he hides it well enough. Senses when I'm not to be bothered. Not as dumb or pompous as many of the others. Might be useful in something else than serving coffee and making appointments. Recommend sending him to CDT Gauthier's Les Révélateurs unit. I am certain they can put him to better use."

His well-documented paper trail thins out by the end of the Second Gallic War. He wasn't important enough to be targetted by either faction during the breakdown of the old order, but was useful enough to be given menial jobs (by his standards) in the new administration. Officially, that is still what he does : his full job title is currently "Supervisory office manager in the department of demobilisation & reintegration, central administration, ministry of the Interior". Short term evaluation indicates he feels no nostalgia towards this part of his career and finds himself at ease in the intelligence community, where he seems to have found his purpose. However, evaluators have had trouble ascertaining his loyalty to the current regime and his stance on the Duchy, the Corsican state and the République, as before, although he strikes all the marks of a true patriot.

PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION

Agent Couton, although recently inducted, is dedicated to the cause and the standard post-recruitment inquiries have verified his discretion.
Though of a reserved nature, he is not above boasting of his vast network of relations and this reflects his internal logic.
When he looks out at the city or considers a given problem, he sees contact information, names, people, job descriptions, the favours he is owed, the secrets he is privy to.
We can't fully ascertain the extend of this internal web of his, nor the veracity of his affirmations, but it is one of the few topics that will get him going with complete confidence.

Other topics of interest are spicy or unusual situations involving high ranking officers he bore witness to, or heard about. The distinction is sometimes difficult to make. He is more reserved in regards to his politics, although out of customary caution rather than mere lack of an opinion. He is an avid reader and openly despises the uneducated, particularly among the wealthier classes.
He hardly reacted when approached about his personal finances, confirming that he is from a relatively well-off family and accustomed to having what he needs, and likely not needing much.
The topic of sex and marital affairs elicited a similarly nonplussed response : he claims to be happily wed, though mentioned his wife only once during his presentation.

In conclusion, Couton is the proverbial man hiding in plain sight. He would easily be confused with just another civil servant assigned to menial tasks, a fairly boring, middle-of-the-road character with few motivations and little to offer to an intelligence agency. We ascertain that he is actually a capable, and potentially dangerous, operative, with a keen sense of observation and remarkable memory. His interpersonal skills seem to have served him well, having survived several dramatic changes in administration and witnessed the coming and going of generations of military leadership. He will make a mental note of all that is said, grasp what is left unsaid, and disclose little of what he thinks. This, along with an allegedly extended network of contacts across Gallic society, could make him a powerful asset, or a dangerous liability should his loyalty come into question.

RISK INDICATORS
  • Money - Low risk of Couton being bought by an adversary. He seems to have all the material comfort he requires, and enough reserves to go by his unremarkable lifestyle.
  • Ideology - Moderate-to-low risk of Couton betraying the Union or the Service for his beliefs. Though he bears no more visible love for the Union than he did for the Monarchy, he exhibits a fundamental understanding and clear attachment to the CORE GALLIC VALUES.
  • Compromission - Low risk of Couton falling victim to compromising material. He has left a visible enough paper trail not to arouse suspicion, and doesn't seem to care much for relationships not involving his job. We regard as low the likelihood of there being undisclosed dirty laundry in his past that might be used against him.
  • Ego - Significant risk of Couton being persuaded by flattery or provocation. He has a high opinion of his worth and considers having been unfairly treated in the past, and not employed to the best of his abilities. He should be given assignments that play to his perceived strengths in order to lower risks.

The Gallic National Intelligence - Personnel Database entry

  • Name, surname: Aliisa LEMAIRE
  • Date of Birth and age: 4th of JULY 700 A.G.S / 51 years old
  • Codename: Andarta
  • Ships used: Lynx, Cougar

AGENT DOSSIER

Aliisa Lemaire, Commandant of a Conquerant-class warship and briefly a Contre-amiral tasked with defending Orkney against alien invaders, is a war veteran of the Gallic wars having fought in most theaters of the war. Beginning as a commoner from a low-ranking family rather than a noble one, many details of her upbringing were lost due to intelligence negligence and contradictory claims during her enlistment in the Gallic Navy and Space Force. She was ultimately accepted into the Gallic Academy at the age of 29.

After completing her training in 732 A.G., she was assigned to a squadron attached to the Dax and began climbing the ranks. As a Capitain, she attained command of a Gallic Destroyer prototype, the "Leygues," in early 735 A.G.S, and began using it against the Council in the deep Taus. After the main deployment of the now-known "Triumph"-class Gallic Destroyers in the field, her ship was then sent away to the Liberty frontlines to further Gallia's push into the California and Cortez systems.

Despite both successes and losses, the Gallic Kingdom advanced into the the heart of Bretonia, New London, with Aliisa Lemaire clearly amongst the opposition against such front-out assault - this point would be proven later, as it led to the devastating historic defeat for Gallia, with its mighty armada destroyed in the Battle for New London.

With most of the Gallic Royal Forces driven back to the "Hebrides", Edinburgh (Aquitaine), Roussillon, and Orkney (Brittany) and Leeds glassed, Capitain Aliisa Lemaire opted to stay with the Gallic Royal Enclave and subsequently joined the EDA, the Enclave Defense Authority. There is a noted gap in her dossier due to the hazardous nature of Battleship Embrum's evacuation from Newcastle to was known as the "Ys" system by EDA.

Things worsened when, a few months later, the Gallic Royal Enclave was betrayed by Marine forces that chose to side with the Confederal State, reducing the operational capability of the EDA and Enclave Security Forces by twenty-five percent. Following this, Lemaire was promoted to Commandant and given command of a second-rate, Warwolf-equipped, Gallic "Charlemagne"-class Battleship, which had been completed after delays during resource shortages in Enclave times at the Issoudun Yards. The "RES-Ange Blanc" joined the EDA in defending Aquitaine and the surrounding Hebrides as raids intensified on the Bretonian side, especially after the invasion of Confederacy by Kusarian expeditionary forces.

During this time, the "Ange Blanc" was redeployed to the Languedoc front to link up with Rocroi's battlegroup to engage and destroy any remaining Yamaguchi assets in the region. This operation, as easy as it sounded, came at a heavy cost in both material and manpower, with the "Ange Blanc" suffering catastrophic decompressions and being scrapped later at Briançon Station. With peace at hand, the invasion repelled, and heavy costs inflicted on Lorraine, the evacuation of the population was well underway as planned. However, more prospects in the South were in play at that time, with the Taus in chaos and fighting between Bretonia, Kusari, and Gallia intensifying, it would seem that a cold war was developing between the three colonies involved there

After being reprimanded by the Maréchals for losing a "Charlemagne"-class Battleship during the Second Battle for Languedoc, she was demoted to Capitain, and her standing among the senior officers in the navy dropped sharply. She would be transferred to the GSB, Gallic Security Bureau, and became the right hand of Lusignan, formerly an Amiral of the EDA and later Director for GSB. During this time, she was reassigned to the "Leygues" again, in an effort to prove and regain her status as a valuable asset to now new Gallic Union and its Military.

It wouldn't be long until the alien invaders swooped into Orkney and state of the emergency was declared in the system, with the situation becoming dire following the disappearance of the Director aboard the GNS Renaissance, prompting Aliisa to take over the defense of the shipyard. Becoming an acting-"Contre Amiral" with no more experienced senior officers present, she held out until a massive assault wrecked the yards. She then commanded a strategic retreat of several ships aboard the battered and aging "Normandie" warship back to Languedoc, effectively sealing off the exit to Sirius and preventing the Nomad Vagrants from expanding into Gallia proper.

The stress of this operation took a toll on her mental stability, stepping down from a field command position. She continued her career in relief efforts, focusing on plans to evacuate Lorraine, which became a focal point for Gallia after the Military disaster.

She returned to a more active military role in early 750 A.G.S., taking command of an old Enclave Royal Navy ship, it wouldn't be long before being ordered to link up with GNI task force near Languedoc system. However, in an unexpected turn of events, after witnessing powerful Nomad entities in Orkney in a very long time, Aliisa Lemaire was forced to return as now a Senior Intelligence Officer, under the newly formed main branch of the GNI.

The Gallic National Intelligence - Personnel Database entry

  • Name, surname: Camille BEAUCOEUR
  • Date of Birth and age: 7th of NOVEMBER 723 A.G.S / 27 years old
  • Codename: Archange
  • Ships used: Renoir-Souder UY-270 "Sunbeam", HM Series "Courbe", R1 "Draugr"

AGENT DOSSIER

Camille Beaucoeur's past record is relatively shrouded compared to most inducted into the service. Preliminary background checks and investigations into her past done by GNI recruiters have identified her as the missing son of one Baron Roland de Chevallieux, a relatively minor member of Planet Orleans's aristocracy and a steadfast mariner in service to the former king. Over the course of the war with the Council and Bretonia, several members of House Chevallieux perished in the line of duty or were declared missing in action, leaving the noble family to wither in influence and resources. Desperate to reclaim a semblance of honor and prestige, Baron de Chevallieux enrolled young Camille against her will into one of the many military academies on Planet New Paris. Her academic record is one containing numerous disciplinary infractions, including striking a superior officer, overstaying her weekend pass, and a general pattern of hooliganism. Before she could wash out properly of the academy, the Glassing of Leeds and subsequent collapse of the Kingdom threw the system into disarray, leading to Camille's ignoble return home. Something about the experience changed Camille with a sudden dropoff in disorderly conduct in future records emerging.

During the Confederate years, Camille slowly pursued private undergraduate education where her military studies had left off. This was cut short by tensions with her family escalating, eventually culminating in a violent and abrupt departure from her family home and estate under pursuit by Chevallieux retainers. The chase eventually made its way to the Orkney system as local law enforcement lost track of them. None of the ships would ever be seen again, and Camille herself would not emerge until several years later. Emerging from her disappearance with a freighter, the Laplace Vector, Camille had changed her surname and gender and taken up freelance work as a courier and mercenary in the Gallic Union. Eventually, her contract work caught the attention of an emerging branch of the Unione Corse known as the Zurich Accord, leading to growing employment opportunities from a number of clients.

Her unique skillset and background, coupled with what some would characterize as preternatural instincts and fortune, have gained her the eye and attention of Gallic National Intelligence. Following [REDACTED], she was instated with the rank of Intelligence Officer at the behest of [REDACTED]. Officer Beaucoeur now operates in the Independent Worlds, Taus, and the Republic of Liberty, as well as carrying out [REDACTED].

[+]CLASSIFIED: TIER-5 CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Beaucoeur is to be considered a "special case" and monitored as closely as possible. She represents a nexus of several underworldly and otherworldly interests with a transfixed gaze upon the state and stability of the nation of Gallia at large. She commands a noteworthy level of influence and resources within Provence's underworld and has made use of this power to advance the interests of another employer. There exists a connection between the xeno entities that ravaged Orkney in previous years and Camille Beaucoeur. For whatever reason, she is able to liaise between our organization and these aliens. The possibility of her being compromised, whether by mental or physical factors, is non-negligible. Tabs must always be kept on Beaucoeur's location, communications, and actions, and GNI's rank and file cannot come to know her true nature.

In the event that Beaucoeur becomes a possible threat to Gallia and GNI's interests, she is to be terminated swiftly at the discretion of the Director.
