Well, here is my newest character, Kaira Rin. He's not as far in-game as he is in the bio, but that's because I wanted some breathing room on his future. If anybody would like to check out his story so far, and give me any critique? A few points will remain static no matter how many comments I get against it:
He will not be 100% sane.
His ship will remain the same.
He will not join one specific faction.
He is going to have at least 2 different faction weapons, all justified by RP.
He is not going to be ZAS. Close, yes, but not part of them.
I do think you should have actually done the RP with us before writing up a story about how you'd get ahold of one of our ships, especially ships which we have denied to even our closest allies - we dont even let the corsairs use our new caps.
That's typically referred to as jumping the gun or metagaming - you're doing something without permission from the players it concerns, and using a hastily written biography to back it up. I would quite honestly suggest using a zoner gunboat for the time being, if you really must have a gunboat-class ship, until you build up relations with the order enough to convince us that we should give you ours.
Additionally, you need to get the rep for a proper ID before buying a gunboat, your recruit ID that you had tonight doesnt support it - I'm not going to file a sanction, I understand you're still developing the character and setting up, but if you want to have a character with a unique/controversial role, it generally helps gain the respect of the other players around you if you're following server rules beforehand =P
I did this at (my) late at night, so that I could set this character up with all of the necessary components, ID and Reputation with hardly anybody noticing. He is now half green with Order Guard, and I have had to tweak the character slightly, because I have recently learned of the ID changes, disallowing me to order slavers to drop their entire cargo bay.
It was hasty, yes, but I intended for this to be done with minimal contact with other people.
