Hello there.

I already read this very nice thread of Dusty : http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...c=33187&hl=

I want to make a Miner, since it could be nice and it was nerfed. I want to try the Iridium farming in Omicron Delta. I have already a mining ship, some mining laser but the only thing missing is the ID/tag.

Dusty didn't say what kind of ID/IFF we need to maximise the Iridium mining so.. Anyone here knows ? Zoner ? Junker ? No tag ?

Thanks you for yours future answers.

zoners don t mine - and i m really at a loss what daring miner would fly to such a dangerous and remote place like delta to mine iridium. - ( part of the reason why its so horribly expensive of course )

an independent miner with a freelancer tag maybe

Oh, really?

To what do you attribute this pronouncement, Jinx?

Are we too good to dirty our hands?

The [TAZ]Flagheap was financed by "Scutter" through profits made in the Niobium fields of Omega 49 over a period of almost a year..

Sounds like "mining" to me..

*grins* 'ol Jinxy means as large scale commercial operations, in which he/she/sentient modeling machine is quiet correct. There are no mining bonus' currently associated with the Zoner ID.

@mal:

nahh - just personal ideas. - zoners are traders ( for me ) - i find it somehwat hard to imagine zoners to conduct large mining operations - they rather let others mine for them. - but hey, thats just me, eh?

Well, I've been taking my Corsair ID'd mining ship up there sometimes. Even though there is no mining bonus on the Corsair ID, the system contains Yaren, and I know many friendlies dock at the Freeport and in system.

It also generates some good reactions from the bounty hunters nearby at having a Brotherhood ship just lazily sitting there.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

None. Bonuses are only implemented when nearby prices are low, which is not the case with iridium.

What about then in Omega 49 where niobium minerable, and sellable at the planet Gran Canaria for about 1.800 $. The field 40k from the planet, so need to lower the prize on planet, or need to give some bonus to iridium too, because if you go to Omega 49 with an IMG miner you get all bonus. At this moment doesnt matter if you use mining laser or mining ship for iridium mining. At least equip bonus giveable and lower the prize in Freeport and pick out between the buyable commodities. So if someone want to risk his life in Omicron Delta he wont die by boring (at this moment 2-6 iridium come from 1 shoot, loading a 2.750 not a short time).

Why good trading with Barge? For this:
