Weiss Shipping, also known as Weiss or Weiss Imperial Shipping, is a subsidary of Imperial Shipping.
In 835AS Konstrukteur Grimwald became CEO after Franz Zimmer bridged the gap that Herr Weiss left behind.
Up until 834AS Weiss was headed by Cpt. Hermann Weiss (nicknamed Herr Weiss within the company), a rare centennial combat veteran, who had to be pulled out of retirement in his cybernetic-augmented, pharmaceutics-fueled aging body to take over the business after the untimely death of his fifth wife Bridgid Weiss, former CEO and Chairman at its founding.

The Imperial Shipping subsidiary was initially intended to bring prosperity to House Rheinland and its citizens through peaceful strategic deliveries of high cargo capacity, using the bulk capacity of the Colossus vessels available to Imperial Shippers.
Following the doomed maiden voyage of the first Weiss convoy, destroyed by the hands of Corsairs inside Bretonian space, the company was restructured with military efficiency and improved in firepower to prevent such tragedies from becoming the norm. This experience resurfaced in Tau-44 as another voyage was inhibited by a fleet of outcasts in the later months of 834AS.

What Does Weiss Do

Despite the increased security measures, or perhaps because of them, Weiss Shipping works hard to excel at rapid transport of goods in befitting quantities to clients all over Sirius. Cooperation and mutual prosperity is the core mission of the corporation. Armed with a decent cargo hold and state of the art defences, Weiss shippers will ensure goods are delivered to a client, regardless of opposition. Highly motivated crews, hefty life and cargo insurance packages, and generous bounties as anti-piracy countermeasures have inspired employees to perform above and beyond the call of duty.

Weiss And Rheinland

Domestically Weiss has proven to be a trustworthy and discrete service for organizations licensed with the Rheinland Government. Maintaining a good relation with its industrial and militarized counterparts is paramount for Weiss, and all levels of Weiss Shipping are required to put domestic interest above all other considerations during operations and daily tasks. Contractual obligations set by its Imperial Shipping paternal organization obligates Weiss to prioritize Rheinland's interests, ensuring high cooperation between Weiss, Rheinland authorities and corporations within Rheinland on a monthly basis. The experience gathered in the Omegas is however often taken to the Sigma systems in assistance of Kruger mining operations, and the high security risks surrounding Rheinland space ensure Weiss eagerly provides logistics to the Rheinland Military and certain more clandestine branches of Rheinland power.

Weiss And Sirius At Large

With the currently lukewarm diplomatic relations between Rheinland and other regions, Weiss Shipping is involved in trade from the furthest reaches of Gallia, to the depths of the Omicrons, and energetically exchanges within all House space as the market's needs shift and adjust. This has resulted in a branching of divisions, whereby regular convoys are focused on bulk cargo shipments within safe space, and a more elite, faster, and better armed division operates in higher risk areas.

The Gefahrgut Division of Weiss works primarily within the Sigma and Omicron systems, whilst the regulars operate primarily within Gallia and Rheinland, with infrequent trips to Bretonia and Liberty. Due to the decline of trade opportunities and xenophobic attitudes of Kusari Intelligence and the Gas Miner's Guild, neither division approaches Kusari space besides using it as a transit point for non-Kusari clients.

Weiss And Competitors, Freelancers

Weiss Shipping is willing to work with friendly and neutral parties, interested in mutual assistance and profit. If such parties have a good offer, negotiations are bound to occur. After all ideals fuel the fire and not the bodies of Rheinland citizens, and logistical companies are bound to be at least a bit mercantile. Whether this is an understatement or not would depend entirely on a business partner's capabilities and the offers at hand.

On particularly enticing offers, or upon the provision of successful armed escort, Weiss will guarantee generous compensation for persons or organisations assisting its employees, at a fixed rate.

Weiss Code of Conduct

1. General Information:
Weiss Shipping, also known as Weiss or Weiss Imperial Shipping, is an Imperial Shipping based Company holding neutral values, they follow Rheinland's legislature as a Company. Weiss is generally open to discuss delivery and trade deals with almost no physical boundaries regarding the Sirius Sector.

2. Company Rules:
2.1 Techcell
Using Rheinland based technology is generally endorsed and recommended, however personal vessels under Weiss that are using House based technology or Generic Civilian technology are allowed to fly under Weiss. Pilots under Weiss are not allowed to use illegal, alien or pirate technology, being caught will result in company internal sanctions, demotions and possible contract termination.

2.2 Contraband
Weiss employees are to follow the Laws of Sirius. This includes not holding onto commodities that are not allowed in the sector you are moving in, not entering restricted zones and not getting into conflict with the local authority forces (Examples: MND, GNI, KNI, etc. ). Weiss stance on the matter of illegal, quasi-legal and similar cargo is listed in the ⁠contraband register.
All commodities listed are declared as contraband in either one or multiple house spaces.
We currently only hold certain licenses to ferry those, Weiss demands of it's employees not to smuggle those as we do not aim to become target of House Authorities.

2.3 Jobs & Behaviour on the Job
2.3.1 Employees are expected to show up on time and abide the terms of the trade deal they agreed to handle for Weiss.
2.3.2 It's internally possible to switch or forward an agreed job onto another employee of the company as long as both parties and management agrees.
2.3.3 Employees are not to subcontract third parties for any task assigned to them from Weiss without getting authorisation from management.
2.3.4 Employees are encouraged to not get into conflict with any party as the employees' lifes are important to Weiss.
2.3.5 Should any sort of issue arise on the job the employee is advised to remain calm and return alive, if an issue forces the employee to be unable to abide the current job’s terms then it shall be so.

OORP information

We made this to be a "chill trading faction" and as such the focus in Weiss is on roleplay and convoying for the fun chatter and traveling around together. Whilst recruitment is closed, we are always willing to make friends, and will approach anybody whose needs meet those of the faction as it is currently. The Discord is also invite only, but if you have a valid reason to be there, you will find it.

That being said, Weiss will not shy away from pvp, and will be always open to talks in case an unfun problem arises and can be resolved with communication. We encourage members and everybody else to have open dialogue and enjoy the game together. If all else fails, PM this account.

As a faction we aim to look outward and play with others as much as possible, while retaining a cohesive core group to enable that.
