Autobiography of Erik Kohl

My name is Erik Kohl, and I was born on the 22nd of December, 810 AS, on the planet Hamburg, which lies within the heart of Rheinland. Growing up in a city steeped in both history and modernity, I developed a deep sense of pride in my homeland and a strong desire to contribute to its safety and prosperity.

From a young age, I was drawn to the skies. The thought of piloting spacecraft and exploring the vast reaches of space captivated me. By the time I turned 18, I earned my space pilot license. This qualification allowed me to operate a variety of vessels, including transport ships, freighters, and other craft. My work as a freelancer gave me the freedom to travel, but it also exposed me to the harsh realities of life in space—the dangers of piracy, smuggling, and the ever-present threat of criminal organizations.

As I navigated through the complex and often perilous world of freelance work, I began to see how vulnerable Rheinland's borders were to such threats. I witnessed firsthand the damage that criminals could do, not only to the economy but to innocent lives. The sense of injustice I felt in those moments pushed me to rethink my role in society.

I knew then that I could no longer remain a passive observer. The experience I had gained as a pilot gave me a unique understanding of Rheinland's transportation and logistical networks, and I realized that I could use these skills for a greater cause. My concern for the safety of Rheinland's citizens, combined with my growing sense of duty, led me to make the decision to join the Rheinland Polizei.

My primary motivation is simple: to protect Rheinland's borders and its people from those who would do them harm. Whether it is combating criminal organizations or preventing attacks from hostile forces, I believe it is my duty to ensure that the citizens of Rheinland can live in peace and security. As a member of both the Kaiserreichspolizei and the Grenzschutzgarde, I aim to serve with honor and dedication.

In this new chapter of my life, I am committed to upholding the values of justice, security, and loyalty to Rheinland. The path ahead will be challenging, but I am ready to face whatever comes my way, knowing that I am contributing to the greater good of my homeland and its people.

Erik Kohl
Hamburg, 828 AS
