we were talking about why Ku doesn't have an Earhart entry point in Tohoku in the Weiss Discord. Since Lore wise Kusari developped Jump Tech we had the following idea:

A PoB module that acts as a stationary Jumpdrive on the base.

Like it could work like: You dock at the base that has it, use a fitting pw (the owner could decided) and use a command to jump from that base a few systems wide (or perhaps also into earhart)

Maybe that tech comes from Kusari and is hence locked for a while for other IFFS unless they get a blueprint (similar to the modular blueprint) to do so, maybe it's Core level locked to try to get more people into RPing more.

Though if a core level of 2 would be ok I could see perhaps some pobs collaborating which could entail a fast travel network that is accessible as long as you are low on cargo of course, the usual requirements for being able to jump apply.

It's an idea that could be neat. Though as I am not a software person and I am not familiar with the game's code I'm unable to know if this is even possible.

Maybe this is broken for travel and balance. Though plenty of ships already have JumpDrives installed, most factions or groups own at least one ship able of such a feat.
