Drug Lab Explosion Smokes Out Downtown

Wilmington City - Planet Los Angeles : The residents of Wilmington were up for a rude awakening this morning as the wind swept in clouds of nauseous fumes from the outskirts of the city, disrupting the flow of traffic and most outdoor activities. Police investigations soon discovered a raging fire which had consumed much of what appeared to be a small, isolated chemical plant, with no alarm ever being raised. The cause for that quickly became apparent as forensics teams found traces of several illicit substances at the scene, including Slog and Cardamine. Witnesses at the scene report hearing an explosion late into the night, fitting into a pattern of loud disturbances that had previously already resulted in noise complaints. The case is now being investigated by the authorities as one of illegal drug production and distribution. - - -
