With the separation of the Darkhorse from the Consortium's inventory, my out-processing finished, and the Pathfinders Initiative within SLRC officially disbanded, those in the Pathfinders are free to dictate their own course...whatever that may be. We've set a course into the Omegas to arrive at Planet Gran Canaria by the end of the week. There, we will begin stocking the ship for a long term exploratory mission into deep space. For now, we will make Gran Canaria our beachhead into the black and come back here to restock and recharge as necessary. First, however, we have to make a brief stop over at Livadia Shipyard for some necessary retrofitting.

We've begun the arduous process of disconnecting the weapons systems from armaments and rerouting them to other equipment onboard. We'll still need to take the Darkhorse to Livadia to fully disconnect the weapons systems from the tactical network and reuse it for the larger sensor suites--not to mention removing the actual weaponry from the hull--which is the reason for our brief stop in Kappa on our way into the Omegas. From there we will plot a jump the rest of the way to Gran Canaria, hopefully bypassing any problems with the locals.

Work on the Darkhorse proceeds apace. We departed Livadia after the overhaul was complete and entered Omicron Delta where we ran into a 2nd fleet Order pilot who explained the various Order groups and their activity levels. The Overwatch have been inactive of late, instead choosing to stay in their home system somewhere in the vicinity of Omicron Zeta and the Vanguard are actively venturing far beyond the Omicrons. This left us with the newer group of the three: The Hades Brigade.

Initially, we ventured into Omicron Zeta proper to reach out to them. We are aware that their space is somewhere in the vicinity of Zeta but have no concrete location data to pinpoint. Flying into their space unannounced may hinder our future working relationship so instead we sent a communication to Dabadoru located in Omicron Delta instead and waited for a response. To our surprise, they responded fairly quickly.

We provided information and documentation as proof of our providence and worked with them recently at Dabadoru on a survey of the Darkhorse for the sensor array overhaul. We're standing by now for a response to our submitted documentation. The crew is anxious to get into deep space but the upgraded sensor array will be worth the wait as the current SLRC modified array requires regular maintenance and reconfiguration. Not to mention it's sensor resolution leaves much to be desired--which is surprising considering who designed it's modifications.

It's been a good while since I've rested and Freeport 11 is as good of a place as any to do so. At least there is no end to the oddballs that pass through here, allows me to blend into the background quite nicely.

REPORT DATE: 06.01.835

The crew is getting antsy having so much downtime, so I've put together an operation to venture into "Omicron Pi" to do some good ol' fashioned exploring. While the Darkhorse may not quite have the sensor resolution to capture many miles down into the crust of planets, it does have the capability to at least do surface scans of various celestial bodies.

Our initial entrance to the system was met with trepidation from the crew. This is our first real adventure into deep space as an independent group outside of the purview of Starlight. Our sensors noted a difference in standard corridor geometry, no doubt as a result of this particular corridor previously being unstable in nature. The information was logged to our database and we continued on our way. It had a strikingly similar signature to another anomaly we catalogued in Omega-5.

From there we made our way to the largest stellar body in the region, Planet Knossos. A buoy nearby indicated a safe landing vector for orbital craft. Unfortunately, the mass of the Darkhorse was too much to adequately enter low orbit safely so instead we sent one of our Osprey's in for a closer look, discovering various ruins in low orbit and standard Gas Giant signatures from beneath it. What readings were were able to get of the massive satellite confirmed it was degrading due to atmospheric pressures and it's orbit was decaying as it passed over the massive channels of Hydrogen and Helium swirling in lower orbit. Conservative estimates place the massive alien structure falling into more dangerous channels within the next 6 standard Sirius years, if not earlier due to evidence of regular mining from various crews. Our onboard Artificial Intelligence places this as a primary location for "Xeno Relic" gathering. Information has been logged to the database. We are tentatively flagging this as "CF01" standing for "Classified" in the database to restrict access to the location data.

After the Osprey was loaded back onboard, we ventured towards a Zoner signal in the area and came upon an unusual nebula that suddenly popped into existence but was met with extreme sensor interference and was forced to turn back. Until the sensor upgrade is complete, we will flag this location as "EH01", standing for Extreme Hazard. The main computer was able to perform a handshake with whatever signal drew us to the area from which we obtained garbled logs from what remained of a Zoner ship. Additional data was discovered reading "23211". The information was logged.

We turned the Darkhorse into a reciprocal heading and made our way behind the planet, discovering another wrecked vessel drifting listlessly through the black. The location data was logged and we moved on as the local Gas Giant appears to be more active on the dark side, regularly throwing up powerful sprites out of it's upper atmosphere. This was categorized as "EH02".

We passed between the egress corridor and Planet Knossos and passed a collapsed corridor, noting a wrecked ship closely orbiting the collapsing gravimetric anomaly. It seems it was another of the "Voyager" team that the Zoner ship in the strange nebula was apart of. We noted it's position in our logs and moved towards the massive green field in the distance. Sensors detected many many high yield mines of unknown origin. We were unable to identify the material the mines were made of but noted several pieces of destroyed ships, some as large as the Darkhorse. Detailed scans picked up an entry point located nearby which would accommodate the Darkhorse only barely. Believe it or not, line of sight picked up a massive object lurking distantly in the field. Considering the size of the minefield, this was flagged at "EH03" and flagged for additional exploration following this report to investigate the massive body lurking in it's depths. Lastly, another Voyager craft was discovered on the periphery of the field. An automated biohazard beacon was left on repeat issuing a warning to not approach. Yet another added line to the log was "Find the Lost One".

On a personal note, I have to admit that Omicron Pi is starting to give many of the crew the creeps...and I can't fault them for it. Something is odd about this place...almost like we are trespassing into someone's (or something's) holy temple.

We followed the external boundary of the massive field, searching for another entry point when our main computer once again pinged, alerting us of another Zoner ship in the vicinity. We followed this signal to another nebula, this one had extremely high radioactive isotopes. Additionally, it randomly showed up in front of us just as the first one we had discovered had done. This field has been flagged as "EH04". We detected a nearby entry point and ventured in to discover a planet inside with yet another of the Voyager exploration team. Again, data was detected to have been appended to the logs well after the crews death reading "-42842". Clearly someone was telling us something. The crew was on high alert now, noticing the parallels to our current place and the strange deaths of other Zoners.

We departed the clouds and headed for the third stellar body in the system in the distance. The planet appeared to have been already discovered and charted by the Crayter Republic in the distant past, along with a station orbiting it's mass. Strange ships entered and exited this station, barely giving us any attention as they did so. Detailed scans of the stellar body revealed strange thermal readings coming from a variety of caverns beneath the surface. Heat radiated up from these caverns which could not be explained. Additionally, strange electrical signals resembling life signs echoed throughout the entrances to the caverns but were weak enough to be considered sensor ghosts. Without more a more powerful scanning apparatus, we left orbit so as to not antagonize the local denizens of the area. This planet has been designated "CF02".

As we left stellar orbit, we came upon yet another minefield. This one had similar readings to the ones in EH03 but appeared of newer make. Their yield was estimated to be less dangerous, however the Darkhorse proceeded with caution. We stumbled upon another wreck one of the two passages through the minefield and noted it's location data.

After leaving the field, we came upon a collapsed corridor and in the distance a dense asteroid field was discovered off plane from the rest of the items in the system. Venturing into the field we found another wreck. This one belonging to an escort for the Voyager team. Sensors picked up something strange in the distance and even line of sight had the stars being blotted out by something massive. With the sensors at full, we approached the area at impulse speeds until we picked up a gigantic asteroid that may have once been a small moon. The Darkhorse circumnavigated the cluster until discovering an entrance surrounded by volcanically active thermal activity. The Darkhorse just fit inside the opening thanks to our expert conn. officer. We arrived inside the cluster, discovering yet another Voyager craft sitting outside of an active anomaly cluster. We were not able to get too close as the Darkhorse's sensor array could pick up the dangerous amount of radiation the anomaly was throwing off. This was categorized as "EH05" and "PEO01" standing for Pathfinders Eyes Only. The wreck had one more number appended on the end: "171792". We added this to the other two and came up with coordinates.

Various combinations of coordinates were attempted. Three numbers can be arranged six ways but with vastly different degrees of range in each. By the fourth configuration, we came upon a small moon on the outskirts of the system with a wreck in orbit. The moon was expelling dangerous amounts of radiation, leading to being flagged under "EH06". We approached with caution while our escort moved in closer for detailed scans of the wreck discovering advanced weaponry on the ship much like the ship orbiting the active anomaly. We retrieved the weapons for further study and retreated from the system.

On our way back to the Freeport in Delta, we were yelled at by some Core vessels about restricted space. No doubt they are still working on deconstructing that Corsair base in system. We have no interest in the politics or wars of the region, we only care for exploration. We told them to relax and departed the area. After seeing we were unarmed and leaving, it seemed to cause them to relax and go back to firing on the Corsair installation.

We've now returned to moor at Freeport 11 with repairs and refuel underway for both the Darkhorse our Escort, and our onboard Osprey. Omicron Pi is an odd system which will require further exploration once our sensor array is properly installed by the Hades Brigade. Initial survey indicates some kind of cataclysm occurred which lead to the Voyager team being stranded in system. If that reason be the satellite in orbit of Knossos, the unusual readings from the nebula we were unable to enter, the strange readings from the planet, the strange ships flying around the station near it, or the shattered moon with the active anomaly. Any of these unusual features of the system could have contributed to their demise. However, that is postulations for someone with a degree, and not an explorer. Data has been saved but the file remains open for further exploration after our retrofit is complete.

Pathfinder-1, signing off.

DOCUMENT NOTES
EH01 - Unknown Nebula in Omicron Pi. Requires advanced sensor array to penetrate the barrier. High amounts of unknown radiation evident.
EH02 - Sprites reaching up out of Planet Knossos atmosphere are a hazard. Approach dark side of the planet with caution.
EH03 - Massive minefield of unknown origin possesses a tunnel through the minefield. This will require additional surveying and exploration due to the size of the cluster involved.
EH04 - Highly radioactive field with a planet inside. Additional Voyager wreck present in orbit.
EH05, PEO01 - Active anomaly present within shattered moon. Appears to be a form of Corridor in an advanced state of collapse or metamorphosis. Monitoring of anomaly advised.
EH06 - Stellar body on the outskirts of the system expelling dangerous amounts of radiation. One wreck from the Voyager team in orbit.

CF01 - Planet Knossos alien satellite shedding artifacts. Advised to keep classified to prevent other would be treasure hunters from obtaining relics and spreading them throughout the colonies.
CF02 - Stellar body exhibiting unusual characteristics with possible life under the surface in caverns throughout the planet. Evidence of geothermal heat being expended to the surface. Until upgraded sensors are installed, this shall remain classified.

For the first time in years, I encountered a Starflier in the field...and their Director. We caught up on the goings on with SLRC, the Pathfinders, and our various operations. Mr. McKenzie (or Dr. McKenzie?) indicated an interest in our shared report of Omicron Pi, particularly an interest in the large mass deep within the unknown minefield we encountered.

His interest was so palpable, in fact, that he offered to have one of his men, a man named Halpert, scout the field and feed us route information for the Darkhorse to get detailed scans of the unknown structure. No doubt this will test our pilots to the limit navigating this field even with the datalink to Mr. Halpert's ship. We were departing for the Omegas but have moored back at Freeport 11 in Delta awaiting this pilot's arrival.

With any luck, this will complete the report we left unfinished for Pi and start a relationship with our former comrades in science, the Starfliers.

I was enjoying a peaceful rest when my communicator pinged. When I opened the message, I noticed that Brad hadn't removed me from the feeds from Ikarus and A.B.A.D.D.O.N. was notifying me various issues with our old home. Decompressions, damages to vital systems, the list went on and on. Was Brad no longer at the station? I summoned a small team to make a trip to Tau-23 when Dr. Morningstar arrived onboard the Freeport.

When I spoke to him about the situation, he immediately gave me the access codes to the Zenith. He stayed behind to man the Darkhorse in the event that the Starfliers representative arrived during our absence. Within a few hours, we had arrived at our old home in the stars...and found her quite worse for wear. Environmental systems onboard were down and not a single crewman in sight. It was like they all just...

...left.

Food was left uneaten, reports left unfinished...it was like an emergency had forced them out the airlocks. Concerned, I reviewed security footage and found it blank, not corrupted just...erased. Standing the security office, I found my eyes drawn to that ever present harbinger lurking outside on one of the security feeds--the Anomaly. Had it swallowed the crew of Ikarus? It had been known to spawn off parts of itself in the past which got dangerously close to the stations infrastructure, even sometimes clipping through without any sign of malice. Looking around the station now though and the haunting absence of my former friends and allies. Well, it made you wonder.

We stabilized the installation with what goods were left on board and got to work on finding ships to ferry goods to the station. Pathfinder-7 was even able to get in contact with a passing transport captain and request their aid in exchange for credits. Money is tight right now but...Ikarus had been good to us for many many years and I wasn't about to be the one to put her in her grave.

A detailed inventory of various tech onboard has yielded no answers. Everything is still in it's normal places. Even the ▋▋▋▋ ▋▋▋▋▋▋ ▋▋▋▋ and ▋▋▋▋▋▋▋▋ ▋▋▋▋▋ ▋▋▋▋▋ were untouched. If this had been a robbery or theft, those items would have been the very first to have been whisked away.

As more systems are coming online, we're able to do more of a deep dive into various subsystems. Most of the logs are still here but everything for the past few days is absent. A detailed review will be done on the remainder of the station in the coming days. I've locked down the docking ports and mooring platforms in the interim while we figure out what happened. I've also enacted protocols to ensure that if my people disappear like those before, a message is able to be left behind detailing the cause. I've got to get back to Omicron Delta before the Starfliers representative arrives.

This was not a homecoming I was expecting nor wanted. This is deeply concerning. I haven't been this worried in a long long time. Not since Erie. I'll get to the bottom of this after my survey completion of Omicron Pi. I hate to put this off but...exploration calls.
