[font=Palatino Linotype]On the distant world called Crete, far away in the bloodstained reaches of the Omicrons, there lived a kid.
His name was Enrico, and he was fourteen years old.
He was a good kid, helping his father, a farmer on Crete, grow his tomatoes on the hard and dry soil of that godforsaken rock, every day.
But Enrico, he had a dream. He didn't want to grow tomatoes all day long for the rest of his life, no, he wanted to eat tomatoes, grown on rich and fertile soil, every day.
Now how would Enrico do that, with Crete being such a hard place to live on?
Well, he dreamt of not doing it on Crete, but on some other, more distant place.
A myth, an old legend passed on for generations, from parents to their children, on Crete.
The legend of Sparta.
It is said, in one way or the other, that out there in space, there is a planet hidden past nebulae and asteroid fields never traversed, where in the early days of the Corsairs, some of their kin went after they decided to not bear the burdens of a life on Crete any longer.
The story goes that the planet was like a mirror image of old Earth in its glory days.
Thick forests and jungles, dark and wet earth covered by a layer of green, mountains reaching to the skies themselves, covered with snow - and endless oceans, filled with an abundance of life in their dark watery depths.
But nobody knows where that planet, Sparta, really is. Nobody knows how to find it, where to go, who to ask.
Most just call the legend of Sparta off as a fairytale. Some people however go as far to say that the Spartans, a few of them, live among their Corsair brethren, waiting for the right moment, or a signal, to unite the people once again and to lead them to a brighter future, claiming their rightful place in Sirius, and vanquishing everyone who opposes them.
Enrico believes that maybe it's up for every child on Crete to decide whether they want to be Corsairs, or Spartans - to find that long-lost world, and make the legend come true.
He wants to be a Spartan.
I'm going to go nuts here and say do the following:
[color=#FFFFFF]Add some black nebulae in there, like those you can find in Texas.
Add some radiation in some nebulae.
Make it real nasty radiation.
Add some asteroid fields.
Add, somewhere, a single large and black nebula, with radiation in it, then an asteroid field five clicks in, then five further clicks in a minefield mixed with the rocks, then a five further clicks in, no more radiation, mines and rocks, just the nebula.
