I'm not leaving(for the 17th time) I just wanted to reminisce.

I'm thinking about old days and how awesome it was.

My first ever ship, Eric game me several million credits, told me exactly what to buy, and I bought a Salvager with Razors. I stayed up late mining scrap in new york on exam nights because I was so excited to play this game for the first time. Sadly I can't remember much about that time(11 years ago!) but the parts I can remember - especially making Eric mad because I destroyed his rep sheet by killing npcs while we were grouped, I miss them dearly.

My favourite ship, Exodus, the zoner neph I bought from someone on impulse, not knowing what a zoner even was. I spent so much time on that ship, probably more than everything else combined. Everyone I knew warned me not to buy it at first because it had a terrible reputation(i think it was ORIZON tag or something, not sure), but thankfully i didn't listen. I renamed it Exodus after skim reading the old wiki page for zoners and the name stuck for 11 years and counting.
I met some awesome people here. The guys from FL-ER, david, shalo, flora, lang, others whos names escape me (im very sorry but my memory with names is probably the worst), i dont even know if they are still on the forum but man i had some fun with you guys. we infiltrated omicron iota when nomads were just discovered, we saved tens of thousands of refugees from gallia just before the planet was glassed, i will never forget you guys. i think about the repair ship that hugged me so close while repairing me as multiple k'hara snubs tried to kill it while dodging my badly aimed secondaries at least once a week. i check the discord often and get excited when i see new messages. i really miss you guys but i understand that we have all moved on. I wish I could tell the story from start to finish, it's among my most favourite memories.

Universal Shipping Inc, my second most played ship, a CAU8 battleship scanner Bison called Salt Lake after a quick google of "north american cities" and picking the first one on the list. In this faction I fell in love with the Bison. I went to every single system in the game (back then) in this ship, during the gallic war. And when the unbalanced Heavy Transport turrets were first introduced and able to mount on every single hardpoint, I killed a Scylla and bragged about it in the discord chat for months. I became a secret agent for Xenos and sabotaged Junker bases and operations. I also tried to convince Radion, the old 1ic to try and SRP a nephilim into the faction, which he refused to do, but later he agreed to try and SRP an Atlantis(iirc?), but he gave up a while later. Neptune, Radion, Joe, Bellck who went from newbie to 1ic, we took the faction to the top of the activity leaderboard back in the day when everyone was a lot more active. I miss you guys too.

Vagrants, my first time playing nomads, where Sombra and Foxglove were very patient and taught me a lot about how to rp aliens that don't communicate by speaking normal english sentences, rather by conveying meaning and context through basically mind control without it being powergamey. We have been ganked, metagamed, trolled, interrupted SO MANY TIMES but you guys never gave up which I would have done long ago.

I have played many online servers in the past - one of which is the server where I befriended Eric, the guy who introduced me to Discovery. This one is the only one I keep coming back to, and it's all because of you guys

I never ran into you in game (that I'm aware of) but it's always fun to reminisce about the old times. My earliest strong memories of Discovery are playing Children of Conviction (pirate mercenaries) with Kaz and Boss, doing forum Roleplay with Zapp or writing the story of Leo, the overpowered Part Human, Part Nomad, Part AI hybrid (holy hell that was cringe)

Hope to run into you around the game at some point...though we may never know. Tongue

You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark.
Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.
